Slion 1,201
Chrome's spellchecker popup is blank making it unusable.
Noir 112
Can not confirm. Assuming you mean the same as I do. Please provide more information to reproduce your issue.
Slion 1,201
There it is.
Noir 112
can confirm, but I highly doubt it´s a Pro1 specific issue. To get those spell checking red lines under the bad words i needed to enable spell checking via gboard itself and also allow some privacy settings within chrome, then I had the empty box aswell. Maybe someone more into Google Apps can help, in the meantime try clearing Data and Cache of both Chrome and Gboard and confirm your settings regarding region and languages. Slion 1,201
Spell checker is actually an android global service much like virtual keyboard or launcher. By default it is set to Google Spell Checker. I tried using another service but same result: empty popup. Looks very much like a Pro1 issue cause I could not find anything like that online. Would be nice to get FxTec to investigate. Edited February 16, 2020 by Slion

david 929
My popup in Chrome lists "Add to Dictionary" and "Delete", but no guesses provided to pick from. Edited February 24, 2020 by david
Slion 1,201
Has anyone managed to get this working on Pro1? @Erik @Waxberry Are you guys looking into that issue? I mean a working spellchecker makes a lot of sense on a keyboard smartphone 😁
Slion 1,201
Created a bug report to track that issue: https://github.com/Fxtec-Community/Pro1-Android/issues/2 Edited March 15, 2020 by Slion

They just show blank. @tdm Does spellcheck work on Lineage? Edited March 15, 2020 by Slion

Slion 1,201
@ahunterYes it works in messenger but not in any chrome or webview browsers I tried. Sometimes the popup in blank sometimes it just shows the add and delete entries.
Slion 1,201
@Erik @Waxberry any chance to get a fix for this at some point? @tdm was that fixed on LOS? Now that the audio crackling has been fixed surely this should be your number one priority. We are talking about a qwerty phone without a functional spellchecker. Don't think I've seen that bug reported for lineage. But then again, if the issue is not specific to the pro1, some lineage developer probably saw and fixed this in lineage before the first pro1 ever rolled off the assembly line. 1
Slion 1,201
So looks like we will never see this fixed in stock since we are most certainly not getting Android 10 now that Pro1X switched to another SOC.
