Unfortunately, currently the device is unable to go into bootloader mode. Yes, I have tried pressing vol-down+power button when the phone is either not connected to anything, plugged into the charger, or plugged into the laptop. Nothing. "fastboot devices" doesn't give a single line.

You could try this trick I used for flashing, not sure if it will work:

  1. Turn off (that should not be an issue for your case)
  2. Insert the usb cable in the PC but NOT the phone yet
  3. Hold both volume keys while 'immediately' inserting the usb-plug

I’ll admit that the first day I did not use the pro1 because I was too scared😂 but I’ve had it with me for two days now and really love this phone. My biggest hinder is not having a proper screen prot

I just wish I could figure out how to remap the camera button to the pixel camera.

You mean to set which app starts automatically with the button? I guess the standard camera app should start with the button, so it would be easy to change it by installing a secondary or third app which will cause the popup menu to open. There you can select what you prefer.

Otherwise, try to go to Settings -> Apps -> gear symbol -> there are some settings, although the camera setting isn't always there.

Actually, it's a known issue that camera button launches the snapdragon camera, not default camera.  One can use something like keymapper to change that behavior for now.

But, using the button as a shutter doesn't seem to work for any camera app I've tried.  The half-press for focus does work on open camera.  But no shutter.

Thank you for the recommendation. It seems there are lots and lots of tricks with these buttons... Wish there was a full list somewhere, with detailed instructions.

However, it seems that there is no change: fastboot devices doesn't give a single line, lsusb says Bus 006 Device 076: ID 05c6:9008 Qualcomm, Inc. Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode)

As for marshall's similar experience... Yes, it does sound quite similar - discharging from 21% to entirely flat battery within a few hours does sound implausible.

Nevertheless, I don't know why warming up could make a difference, except for possibly affecting state/voltage of the battery? And I did try warming the device up for a few hours against laptop's ventilation vent (while having the phone plugged into 5V 3A charger) - the Pro1 got quite warm, but still didn't react to any attempts to switch it on.

Thank you. Best wishes.

Hooray! The problem seems to be solved, after flashing some of the partitions, as described in thread of Factory Restore Tool, with command-line tool qfpkg_cli .

Apparently, Sailfish OS makes it very easy for user to format internal phone partitions, under mistaken belief of them being memory card partitions... In short: don't go and format a partition just because GUI recommends to do so - it is not necessarily a good enough reason.

Thank you! Best wishes.
