I encountered similar difficulties previously, not only with banking apps but also others like Sygic. These apps store a fingerprint of your system in their settings. Installing a new system is likely to change the Android ID or other information. One way to avoid trouble is to block sensitive information with XPrivacyLua. But not by letting XPL return random information back to an app. Some hook definitions, built in or downloaded, allow the user to store custom fixed values. Update to November 17, with November 5 security patch using OTA went slowly but smoothly. Known keyboard bug still there (see lineage thread)

I took a big breath and just upgraded my LOS 18.1 to latest version by OTA. Everything seems to work, root was maintained and I thought it will took longer than in reality. Tested TV out and it also works, including sound transfer. Anyway, my USB connector is not really good... since a while I can only charge in one direction and data transfer practicaly only works if I hold it in the "right way" (stretched in one direction)... it would be good to obtain a replacement USB board sooner or later... So OTA update works well and HDMI output also works.

Actually, there is a (vendor) tool to flash the screen firmware without reinstalling the OS. However, it is made for Android 9 and, while it seems to work in LOS 16.0, it has been found to not work on 18.1. See this post by @Rob. S. and subsequent ones.

On HDMI, I just tested with this one, that was in my mailbox this morning, And it works portrait and landscape, for ALL of Aicp-R, LineageOS 18.1 and Stock Pie. (and my laptop too. Bought it to get a travel usb-hub with Rj45 ethernet) It is from China and on the package the model number is "BYL-2007", and the bar-code "6 957107 320057", and can most likely be found in many other places. e.g. here (Android in landscape looks quite extreme on a 43" monitor BTW 😂 )

I emailed support. They are going to send me a new screen assembly under warranty (they honored my two years and accepted my date of reception (Dec 10th, 2019) as the mark on the wall. Of course, it will be a long while before I get it (probably not until the Pro1x is ready would be my guess), but I have to say my experiences with FxTec CS have been excellent!

The only place official updates will happen is the IGG updates because the store won't have stock to ship before they are shipped to IGG backers. The November update, when it comes, will either say the are ready to begin production and shipping, or it will provide the latest delay. 🙂

Spoken too soon; in the morning (now on 18.1-20211115-NIGHTLY-pro1), while connected, the battery was down to 20%, there was no flash symbol in the status bar and AccA again reported "not charging".
