  1. It don't think that would cause this issue, though the play in the frame, if any, might set it off easier. The screws for the pro1 are here. You want M1,4 and 2mm. They are perfect. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001476534333.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef18022b0ENN

  2. Never actually used them. It was mostly a proof of concept. The touch worked as such though obviously not at the side edges

  3. I uploaded my latest Lineage 16.0 build, dated 20220225. It includes the February 2022 fixes from the 2022-02-05 Android Security Bulletin. These fixes are now backported to Lineage 16.0 by the good people at lineageos.org, as AOSP does not officially support Pie anymore. I bumped the Android security string to reflect this. New local mods since the last release: Backported some CPU and GPU (surfaceflinger) optimizations that, while initially proposed against 16.0, were merged only in 17.1. My full local patchset with respect to the upstream lineage-16.0-branch can be downloa

  4. Maemo Leste Os is soon ready to be used as a daily driver. Already now people use it. N900s are still valid linux opensource mini pocket pcs which you can use for lots of different things. And hopefully also as phones. Who would not love and support The Legend and keep it alive? The best part is the maemo forum and the community. Sorry off topic. Not gonna continue about N900s on this thread.

  5. @Fxtecish Thanks for your compassionate words regarding F(x)tec's situation. Indeed, people tend to forget that what F(x)tec are doing is deemed unreasonable by all of the big phone manufacturers (as it supposedly does not pay off): make a keyboard phone for the few people out there that really want to use their device as the mobile computer it is. Off-topic: I do not get why you engage in refurbishing N900's in 2022. Do not get me wrong: I own two N900's and love everything about them. But I really think their time is over. Their CPU is too slow and their RAM too small for participating

  6. I don't know but I can picture what the case could be with Fxtec. They fullfill a dream of many and make a device. They see the need to make an upgrade. They have just enough money with crowfund to start production, maybe loan included. They are a small team. They try to have support team and same time push the new device maybe to cover the loss which they may have got from the first device, maybe just to be able to pay for workers. And then happens the thing with the chip and COVID. They are in deep .... I don't know what are the daily jobs of the team, personal life situations or a

  7. Nothing here to dismiss or belittle your frustration, but to clarify some information. First, this is a user-to-user forum. It isn't viewed very often by anyone for FxTec. Second, there are no October or December shipments and there are no replacement Pro1s (can no longer obtain that SOC). If they promised you an October (2021) and then a December shipment, they would have to be talking about sending you the new Pro1x. You haven't received anything in that case because the shipping date(really, the manufacturing date) keeps getting pushed back (factories not fully manned due to cov

  8. I purchased the panel from the Aliexpress vendor that fxtec support recommended. Installed it a couple of days ago. I removed existing panel with hot air 160 degrees per this guide: https://matland.be/pro1disassembly.pdf I did not use a suction cup but instead a very thin metal wedging tool (similar to razor blade mentioned above). It took a few minutes to remove. The mistakes I made were about installing the new panel. The original panel had a black plastic over the panel's adhesive - so from looking at that, I did not realise that the entire reverse side of the panel as s
