  1. The new magisk is not any dumber that the old one. I am using magisk v24.3. Everyhting works the same that in the older versions, what is different is that the hide list is deny list and you need zygisk mode on and configuring the list is in the app settings, but the functionality is the same and if you have to use external modules like MagiskHidePropsConfig you need to download them manually but they work the same. So i have all the same banking apps still working that i had since magisk v20 ->. Edit: And there is no more the builtin safetynetcheck but there are various apps for that in

  2. This. I recall they designed the Pro1 specifically to have the USB port on a dedicated board (and thus easily replaceable) as the USB socket was a well-known weak point of the N900 (where it was directly soldered to the mainboard). But without spare parts, that design effort was futile at best ...

  3. It seems that LineageOS 19.1 will be available soon for Pro1: https://www.lineageoslog.com/19.1/pro1 More information: https://lineageos.org/Changelog-26/ (F(x)tec Pro1 mentioned) https://download.lineageos.org/pro1 I hope it'll fix the charging issue I've had with the LOS 18.1 🙂

  4. It's always hard to know, but right now they are still within the timeline of their last update. Even if they began SMT the same day they posted (probably not), that would take them out to the 24th and thus manufacturing might be beginning this week. So possible for shipping to start in mid-May as projected.

  6. Update to April 27, with March 5 security patch using OTA went smoothly. Known keyboard bug still there (see lineage thread) (The download stage is substantially faster than LineageOS, But the stage after download and install called "Finalising package installation" is surprising slow though - like it is on LineageOS)

  7. I had the exact same charging problems and only the cable connectincg the usb board to the main board was loose, the connector is shown in your picture. Just snapped it back in firmly and never had any problems since.

  8. The charging issue we have (had?) in 18.1 seems to me to be related to overcharging protection. It simply stops charging under some unknown conditions, and keeps it at that level +/- 1 or 2% A functionality that is GREAT to not kill a battery in a phone placed in e.g. a car charger all day. But it seems to kick in at a random point, And at random conditions. The lowest I have seen was 18%... if I remember correctly. Rebooting and it charged normally every time here. I think it is at the least a month since I had it though, but not sure, as I tend to only charge it once a week before upgra

  9. If you are interested in the new interface Google introduced in Android 12L, you can enable it on the Pro1 with this 'Easter egg': In Settings->Accessibility->Text and display->Display size, move the slider all the way to the left ('Smallest'). IMHO the new UI isn't really finished yet, but it gives us a glimpse of where Google is heading for Android on 'tablet' devices.

  10. A big update. Unsigned drivers now allowed! On a Lenovo Yoga X1 Gen 6 I previously used an old hub to get things working, even after all the mess to work with the unsigned driver. Today fumbling with Lineage19 I found out that if I used the front port of their Thunderbolt4 'dock' and a short extension cord, flashing worked at normal speed after changing the driver (and thus twice enter the 48 digit key.....), So no need for the slow old hub. AND what is even better it STILL works after a reboot out of the no-driver-signing mode. So at some point since last fall, they have changed th

  11. Please let us know if your charging problems change when running LineageOS 19. The official procedure for opening a bug report (at https://wiki.lineageos.org/how-to/bugreport) is still the best way we have to track problems, so please open one if you have new info to report. As far as we have been able to tell, the charging issue is triggered as the device ages, and two LineageOS developers have now reported similar problems. This is difficult to nail down however, as there are no new Pro1s being made that might be free from charging trouble with the latest software. However, our oldest d
