Installed it but don't really see much difference from lineage itself...

Well, kind of expected with the current Build of LMODroid I guess

What about the better Desktop-Mode adaptions they are talking about, anything special there?

  2. Nice find. Unfortunately the seller does not offer shipping to my region, I contacted him nevertheless if there is an option, i'll edit this post when I receive an answer.

edit: response was not too good, "if you can't buy it I can't ship it.". I'm not sure how the seller would respond to a request to buy it outside of aliexpress, but I did not ask further.

Since I paid around 75€ for five cells (including import fees), I can offer to sell the battery cells for 15€ each.
If you want to wait about one month, I might have switched the phone to my self-built model, then I can test out if switching the circuit works out without problems.

I'd happily take one. DM me Please.

I might have missed some messages here.  Are you saying the batteries also have the correct connector, or are just the right physical size and capacity?

Have you managed to get them working in a pro1x yet?  Or are these for the pro1?

They are just bare cells without the BMS PCB and connector to the Pro1. you would need to transfer them from your original board to make them fit.

I am very sure that the cell´s sizes are identical to the pro1 and the pro1x, so those cells could be used on either of them as long as you transfer the respective board from your old battery. keep in mind that this is not really a rookie-job and you can easily mess up things, nshans way looks not very durable. But sure, for a Proof of concept it might be just fine.

I'm very sorry to hear that! I've received my five ordered batteries around two or three weeks ago and they seem to be intact. They are exactly the same size as the FxTec battery so they are the right ones.

I haven't found time to replace the battery yet though.

I'd buy one cell from you if you'd be interested. I would try it out on my Pro1-battery, and I do have a spot-welder to replace the BMS board the way it's meant to be done. 🙂

There is one rather insane possibility for anyone who has both a Pro 1 and a Pro1x... install the display first in the Pro1 (probably wouldn't have to even glue it) and flash the firmware of the screen. Then remove it from the Pro1 and install it on the Pro1x.  I'm no expert and I'm just guessing, but would that work, I wonder.

I can confirm this working. I am able to install the display driver on the replacement screen attached to my pro1 and then it is working as expected on the Pro1x.

  7. Unfortunately I experienced the same issue as you are describing, for me it is a hardware issue. The Keyboard-Flex cable was bent too sharply under the battery and cracked. There is no way to replace that without tearing apart the glued keyboard. I was recommended to get the whole keyboard-faceplate replaced.

  8. Had this Issue on a Huawei P20 Pro before - fingerprint sensor getting hot, due to that fast discharging battery. Disconnected the connector aswell to save costs.

Just want to point out, that I would not blame F(x)Tec for that fault, defects like that can occur. (imagine this happening on an 🍏7/8..)

I had to select the dutch layout from finqwerty, because with the german layout the ß/? key does not work properly, no ? is available there - i can't believe it takes this much setting up to get the STOCK rom to work properly

Hm, for me and Stock QWERTZ it works fine, Shift+ß for ? (like on a real keyboard), although other yellow symbols are used with the yellow arrow (like alt on a traditional keyboard if you want to look at it like that..). I can not really reproduce your issue there. On early builds there was acutally a mis-mapping  (` for example was a lookalike), but ?/ß was not one of them.

  10. QWERTZ setup instructions is the pinned post.

I will attach screenshots due to not having too much time currently of my o2 settings and status, also the mentioned slider settings. Maybe you just missed that option in the settings menu. Auto rotate via quick settings is enabled. some apps refuse to turn landscape or ignore orientation lock, but that is only for a few.

  11. the right part of my screen does not touch the landing pad either, it´s exactly as in the picture above. But I don´t have that rattle when typing, only when i shake the phone up- and down quickly. (just did that only to verify the posted issue).

only when I hit the keys unnaturaly with my thumbs i can get the rattle to occur while typing, but usually i don´t even lift my thumbs from the keyboard while typing..

I expect the rattle to change over time, either through wear or debris which makes the movement harder, not sure if it will become worse or better.

  12. Any influence on the display when opening/closing the pro1 slowly and turning the display off and on on different opening levels?

It´s mandatory to turn off the display and reawake the phone after each movement of the slider.

Maybe you´ll get a working image doing that to troubleshoot the flex cable, it´s connection, or the screen itself..

  13. Had the same issue, as told as the others.

Charge your device. update will stay at 100% without any error message, needs 40% charge to finish the update.

    last resort: system->apps->show system apps->software update->clear storage->force stop

Redownload the update then. if your battery is well above 40% and plug charger.

Okay... so.. I guess I have one more issue after screen replacement, though I must confess I am unsure whether this feature even used to work at all, namely automatic dimming of the screen.

What I know for sure, is, that it does not work anymore. And I can't access the sensor programmatically to tell if the sensor(s) even work.

Can any of the pro1 users check? Does someone have an idea of how to verify light- and proximity sensors?

Sure. To access the factory test tool (within the stock rom of course), enter

Settings -> About Phone -> Anroid Version.

You will be presented with a popup, scroll down there and tap 3 times quickly on the build number:

    Screenshot_20200127-195008.thumb.png.54023ab4824a58855212e193b90b806c.png

The options below are proximity- and Ambient light sensor test.

To you and others: be careful with the others. One option dials emergency without any further warning!

The two matching tests are checked on my screenshot:

    edit: You ninja-edited your post.

have you tried turning it off and on again?

Up to 70% of orders are filled now, what's the plan for the rest of them? When will they start production again?

What will the ordering process look like once all pre-orders are filled?

The rest of the pre-orders is scheduled to be produced after the end of CNY, meaning a new batch should be ready mid to end of February.

  16. can confirm, but I highly doubt it´s a Pro1 specific issue. To get those spell checking red lines under the bad words i needed to enable spell checking via gboard itself and also allow some privacy settings within chrome, then I had the empty box aswell. Maybe someone more into Google Apps can help, in the meantime try clearing Data and Cache of both Chrome and Gboard and confirm your settings regarding region and languages.

  17. thanks alot @tdm for your work,

has anyone tried to use microG with this build? I am not experienced with microG, but I am trying to gain some knowledge about it. Having admitted that sorry if this question is unnecessesary, but maybe an answer is possible nevertheless.

🙂 You don't have a Pro1, but you already know how to disassemble it?

Kind of, yes, and we all had access to the picture of the  Pro1 in pieces Chen posted on twitter, which helped a bit. Due to my work-background I'm very used to disassembling phones.
