  1. Make sure your cell phone provider connects to the same network bands as what the phone supports. This is important because every carrier may support 3g/4g/LTE but connect with different bands. You have to do some research on your end and when you do find the right carrier, the phone will not have these issues unless it is defective device itself.
  2. I guess I'll be sticking with /e/ os...
  3. I found a quick troubleshoot. Is your userdata ext4? If not you need to format it. fastboot format:ext4 userdata https://github.com/droidian-images/droidian Someone in the past had an issue with partitions as well and confirmed reflashing them in fastboot had fixed it. You will lose your data.
  4. If you can get at least data to work, i strongly recommend using VoIP with this device. In Canada, we still have 3g available and that appears to work flawless on this device. But anything other is a write off for cellular capabilities but data will work.
  5. I use /e/ os for about a year as daily driver and haven't had an issue. The only thing is my device only works on one particular network type to send/receive phone calls (wcdma).
  6. Lol to the above post. There is a fix. In the sim settings, change your mobile network to another. Wcdma only appears to work great on my device. Otherwise you can consider using VoIP and can keep the default LTE setting.
  7. Gport from BSG works pretty good. I haven't found any other ones that work as good but I will definitely try the one you recommended. https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
  8. There is already a thread posted previously in the past about this. You can locate it below:
  9. How is Sailfish os on this phone? Does everything work OK? Camera/video recording work? Can you run waydroid on it?
  10. Hey a new distro is out for this phone. Looks like a fork of lineage with desktop convergence and Linux os options coming forked from Droidian. https://lmo.framer.website/
  11. There's an app called Droidvnc found on fdroid that allows you to create a server from your device. droidVNC-NG https://f-droid.org/packages/net.christianbeier.droidvnc_ng I have not tried it yet but it looks promising.
  12. Is there a way to pick specific radio network bands? Wcdma work perfectly and I realised NR works good as well. LTE does not work and the only option available is NR/LTE/wdcma
  13. I would like to make the switch to Droidian though the camera is a huge factor for me. Is there anyone here that can confirm if camera works. Is it possible to record video? If not through the OS, can you record or use camera through waydroid?
  14. Hey, Pro1 has been there for a while now. But yes its great to see both devices supported officially.
  15. Hi, Pro1x is now supported. Check link below https://doc.e.foundation/devices/pro1x
  16. https://droidian.org/blog/state-of-droidian-week-36-2023/ Latest developments in Droidian includes fixes to the camera stack. Has anyone been able to record video on pro1x?
  17. I did have issues with data and voice with LTE band as well but with the current settings I chose, it works flawless for both data and voice but I am limited to data speed H+. WiFi has never been an issue for me. It could vary maybe on each phone, maybe they are all built slightly differently and of course carriers use different bands.
  18. Try changing the preferred network type under SIMs settings. I found that the default one often resulted in disconnections. For me tdcdma/wcdma worked good for network stability.
  19. I am able to connect via adb and was able to pull /dev/block/sda2 . Is it normal to be about 40MB? Is there another partition for userdata and modem? I had run into issues when using the command below via terminal: adb shell find /dev/block/platform -name “by-name” -exec ls -Al -Z –color {} \; and this error comes up: find: -exec without \; How can I see which partition is used for userdata. I am able to see where the directory is when I run : adb shell find /dev/block/platform ls which lists all the files in "by-name" below including userdata: /dev/block/platfo
  20. Looks like fxtec pro1x has now reached stable and is officially supported now in ota-2
  21. Not sure why but the manjaro install did not work for me. I don't know if it has something to do with the default directory its set to. Has anyone had any luck?
