Will there be Widevine DRM L1 support?

 

It is a must for me and many others and does not cost anything.

 

It seems that the certification is not yet there

That doesn't really make sense, the work in China is obviously delayed, but development doesn't necessarily need to happen in China. There's an office in the UK. If anything I'd say that because manufacturing is on hold, that's the perfect time to focus on other things.

We do not know where the people making the software are located, but I would not at all be surprised if they resides in China too.

Yeah I'd expect that as well probably only admin type staff in UK.

Is Widevine DRM L1 now available? If not, will it still come?

I must be doing something wrong in 2022 because I still have L3.
