Super fast battery charging

@sorgothanks this apply seems to be very useful, controlling battery charging in soft, but I can't install it, do you use stock android ?
As I'm not very familiar with android, maybe I miss a step, but I'm on LineageOS and I don't use magisk for rooting...trying with the .apk and no permissions to use install.sh as in linux using termux (root enable me the right to see system files, not to modify it).

This will not work on stock. If you're on lineageOS, it should be very simple to root it and use the advanced charging controller. My worries were around not being able to use google pay, but there are ways how to hide it completely and even make google pay work on a rooted LOS.

Linux (bypassing android) has direct controls to manage changing speed and whether to charge at all. The caveat is that, on android phones, that API requires root permissions as such. So whichever program goes to change those options must be running as root.

However, no user can have a program running as root AND at the same time, the phone passing the google's attestation for the apps that use it. We already have enough information about McD app & co to know what that means.

The only savior for that is if the phone maker (in this case, Fxtec) makes such programs and include them in the software image signed by google. However, I'm pretty sure that, if it was an app to give a root shell, it would never be accepted by google... Even though a root shell on an official phone like this would be somewhat of a dream for me... And a pont of failure for most...

idk about you guys, but i tried a different block to charge my pro1 for two days.  what i noticed between the stock block charger and a different block is
charges much slower and doesn't over heat within 25 minutes.
standby time is heavily reduced when using a different block.
stock block seems like it can hold the charge more than a different charging block.

The second sounds really odd, I bet it is something else that 'ate' your Pro1's stamina.
Though the percentages we see are estimates and not something that can be measured accurately, I have not seen them being substantially off, no matter what charger I have used. So when it is above 90% it is practically full. But apps I would not expect to use substantial amounts of power can do so. I would suggest to install a battery-monitor app, to hunr the culprit(s) eating the battery. I use GSAM and 3C Battery (well I use the larger toolbox, but the standalone tool will suffice here)

Among the very common system culprits (that are hard to remedy) is when the device scans for different WiFis and or different cellular mast during transportation. You MIGHT consider trying to set the device in Aeroplane mode during transportation - if that is not inconvenient for your usage.

If you are in an area with weak reception, the device can also use an unexpected high amount of power getting&staying connected. If you are at a desk, try to find a spot with good (least bad) reception of both WiFi and Cellular. Most often it is better to put the device on at table than keeping it in the pocket.

I have contacted fx support to purchase a second stock fx charger, but they do not have any available now.

When I travel, I need sometimes to quickly charge my phone (fast charging). Do you know which other fast charger works with the pro1? If possible please add a link to the product.

I have tried to use the fast charger of my galaxy note 8 but it seems it is not compatible withe the pro1 (the charging cycle was stopping every 30s).

You will need a charger which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC3.0) like this one or this one.

Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging is another solution which is not compatible with other phones.
