  1. Take a look at Finqwerty for example. You may modify it (as I did for my own) to have a custom layout or simply edit one of the KCMs and use the name of that specific layout as your custom one. That program does not run constantly but registers these layouts to be available in system. So basically it works the same way as any other layouts, no need of any special programs - I mean it is the same as if F(x)tec would put this file to the filesystem and tell the system that its name is Tsunero's custom keyboard.

  2. Hello! We just wanted to let you know that Pro1 production is well underway, and we expect to ship more units over the next few weeks. Continued restrictions on the movement of goods around China has resulted in some processes taking longer than anticipated and at slightly higher costs, but overall the situation in China is improving and we now have almost 100% of our factory staff back to work. This means that we can ramp up production as we work our way through the backlog of orders pre Covid-19. As always, thank you for your continued patience and support. Sincerely, Team F(x)tec

  3. The source code you see at GitHub can be loaded by Android Studio and you can modify, then compile it. If you only modify a .kcm file then you will see its original name but when you use it, it will be your own layout, but the original name also can be modified in an .xml file. Basically the .apk file is a compressed image (.zip), so theoretically you can modify its internals - you may open an existing .kcm then you can modify it, but I don't know if Android will accept this modified file. You can not just drop the file into the filesystem unless you have root access, but another f

  4. I used to use that layout exactly that in fact. But I found I kept bumping the Fx key accidentally, so I moved up a row.

  5. If it's delivered earlier, no one's gonna care about MediaTek 🤗. I owned Unihertz Jelly Pro and Atom. No complaints from me on performance. Sure, OS-support should be tricky. But, it could very well take a bite out of FxTec's share in this niche market. Keyboard looks very Psion, which I personally loved. And isn't this their third iteration? So time-to-market could be short. Nonetheless... I will keep on supporting FxTec. When can I pre-order the Pro2? 🤣

  6. As a matter of fact, scroll up half a page, you'll see a screenshot of my rvgl setup; I use similar for other games. And here's Supertux: With Supertux, what i find awkward is up/down, fortunately don't have to do that much. But in first-person type games where you often go up/down as well as left/right, I'd imagine it's fairly awkward. wasd is not better when using thumbs. Sonic CD doesn't let you change keyboard controls and its wasd...

  7. Surprisingly quiet here, considering that gaming with a keyboard should be perfect. How is the situation with emulation now? I remember that pressing several buttons was a problem at a certain point, has that been fixed?

  9. It's finally here! Mine is the 335th specimen. My only problem so far is really just the unlucky fingeprint reader placement. I assume a good case should solve that. I really want to get something like this: Other than this, I slapped the BB Launcher on because the basic Pie one is just atrocious. I haven't finished setting up everything yet but overall I am satisfied.

  11. Another one bites the dust... So my Pro1 just died on me. Well, the OLED-screen died on me. I was just minding my business browsing the interweb when the screen died on me. For a moment I tought it was the screensaver. But, it won't turn back on. And I'm sure it's just the screen. Flashlight/LED is always configured as the first option in the pull down menu on my phones. I am able to switch the LED on and off. Also able to pick-up/answer a call with swipes. That took a few tries though. So, after four months of intensive use I hit a snag. And to be honest, I am quite curious as to ho

  12. Yep, there was bloating underneath the keyboard (battery maybe?) so I sent it back. I'm now waiting on a replacement device...
