  1. Ya in my case, I'm lineage so also need safetypatch, but had that. My issue was I needed to update magisk. Now passing safetynet and both apps are back in the play store for me.
  2. On an unrelated matter, I noticed I wasn't passing safetynet, turned out there's a new version of magisk. I tried direct install (under lineage) and worked fine, reports passing again.
  3. Hmmm interesting. I don't see it in play store, and I thought I'd hidden all my compromises (Play protect certified, pass safetynet, etc). Someone with stock 0306 will have to let us know if its there for them.... edit: argh, Im not passying safetynet actually
  4. David, the multikey keyboard fix for stock and lineage both work fine. Swiftkey is an unrelated issue. If you don't understand what I mean, try playing supertux with swiftkey. You can move around in the menus, set your options and keyboard layout, etc, but as soon as you start the game, you cant actually play. With aosp keyboard (lineage) or gboard (stock) this is not a problem.
  5. I assume the same is the case with stock, I assume its a switfkey thing, unrelated to the driver. I just know if I try to play something like supertux with swiftkey enabled, I can't control myself correctly, have to switch back to aosp keyboard (or gboard). I assume its something related to the way swiftkey is trying to provide suggestions or something (although the suggestions bar doesn't pop up during games)...
  6. I've used Swiftkey. I think it is Microsoft? It has hardware keyboard settings under 'typing' and yep can disable autocaps there, etc. It also allows has suggestions which work quite well with hardware keyboard if you like those, which aosp keyboard doesn't seem to have, at least not in our LOS... But, sym and emoji popup keyboard shortcuts dont work, and games (that you play by holding down keys to move) dont work with it. So I got tired of manually switching back and forth between aosp for games and swiftkey for suggestions I rarely use (and just leave it on aosp). I'd love the best of both, but right now it's all about tradeoffs. But since we had those settings on PhotonQ under stock and cm/los, hoping they can be implemented for Pro¹ - without the need for 3rd party app like SwiftKey just to get such settings. But, that may not be possible with current Android, maybe something changed. I'm just hoping.
  7. I'm wondering if we can implement the physical keyboard settings for stuff like auto caps, etc. Changing these settings for virtual keyboard (aosp or gboard) don't have affect on phyiscal keyboard. Here's a screenshot from PQ stock ICS of the setting I'm referring too... edit: and here it is on CM11 (this phone's battery was dead when I was checking this yesterday; I have 3 of em!) And as Cornholio mentions in the next post, it was still there all the way thru Lineage 14.1 when PQ got its final LOS build last february.
  8. I had similar thought (and mine also attached - I use the same wallpaper as you but hadn't given it a name). But a bootlogo screen contest, I'd be highly likely to use one...
  9. For what it's worth, I haven't noticed any similar issue, but only use one gmail account. I think if this was a common issue, google would be on top of it. So it's probably a you issue. But on previous device I used to use K-9 for years and was always happy with it....
  10. You're right. But are they needed? With Lineage you can use the AOSP layouts..... But maybe they are. I see he made them for Photon Q and I always thought the asanti layouts provided with CM/LOS were good enough, so what do I know.... I don't type other languages....
  11. Not on the list, but I tried Kiwi Browser. It has one unique feature - you can set the address bar on the bottom. That makes it closer to keyboard, etc. But I went back to Firefox, just used to it. And I'm double covered for ads, with adaway and ublock origin.
  12. Also reference the issue tracker. QWERTZ layout is still marked as having bugs and still not closed, so probably still work in progress. https://github.com/tdm/android_device_fxtec_pro1/issues/35 You can control the fn key combinations without changing layouts the way tdm implemented the driver. And don't use finqwerty layouts with lineage, they're intended for stock and would have to be modified for Lineage which handles sym, slantarrows, and Fx differently.
  13. Pro¹ got this yesterday: 03-16-20-Health-Officer-Order-to-Shelter-in-Place.pdf FAQ-Shelter-in-Place-03-17-20.pdf
  14. Dont worry, there are more than 250 people born every minute. In 2016 the figure was 4.3/second, which corresponds almost a million per day or more than 336 million/year.
  15. Then why do I also keep reading about BC10 used by Sprint @ 800MHz? I was thinking I'd learned our phone didn't support that....
  16. The reason I want to use Tello, a sprint mvno, is they're cheap, and unlimited 2G data. I already have a freedompop (at&t mvno) sim in one slot, but want more coverage, and willing to pay tello for that, and planned to do so since before I received Pro¹, and was disappointed when it failed Tello IEMI check, but havent tried going to actual Sprint store yet. Previous to this, I used Motorola Photon Q. It is CDMA device, with internal SIM for the one Sprint LTE band it supports. Until last year I had kept them activated with various Sprint MVNOs that kept going out of business. Ringplus, Tello, Freedompop, and Ting at the very end - they stayed in business but wanted more $ so let the service die. (Freedompop is still around, but now GSM/LTE only, and owned by Redpocket). Anyway, getting off topic, but this was certainly advertised as CDMA device and seems to have the correct hardware. Just useless as such unless the provider gives us service.
  17. Hmmm ok. Being trying to research this. Our device reported supports CDMA/EDVO BC0 (850 MHz) and BC1 (1900 MHz). If I understand correctly, the voice parts of cdmaOne/CDMA2000 are 1xAdvanced and 1xRTT. I think Pro¹ has this. It certainly was supposed to. But since nobody has yet activated it on Sprint or Verizon I guess can't be sure. IS-95 is 2G cdmaOne. CDMA2000 split between voice, data/voice and data, and voice is CDMA2000 1xRTT. Then 3g for voice is CDMA2000 1xRTT Rev E(aka 1x advance). for data its 1xEV-DO Rel 0 for 2.75g then for 3g, its EV-DO Rev. A. 3.5g data was EV-DO Rev. B(peak of 14mbps), but that did not take off. neither did EV-DO Rev. C (CDMA 4g with peak speeds of 280 Mbit/s) nor did 1xEV-DV(same speeds as 1xEV-DO Rev A)
  18. No, Verizon users cannot get CDMA data, because Verizon won't activate it, but thats nothing to do with the device. The only way people are using Verizon on Pro¹ now is LTE only after having it activated on another device. So Verizon doesnt even know the Pro¹ MEID as verizon is tieing cdma service to the meid of the "mule" device. I assume the answer to all three questions is yes, but if you're right that they didn't include CDMA voice bands, then Fxtec has been lieing to us a very long time, and I find that unlikely. But now I'm going to look into it further. Why would they include only cdma data bands but not voice? that makes no sense.
  19. Have you looked at the specs for this phone? We have all the CDMA radios and bands. Verizon not activating us doesn't change the fundamental fact that this phone is indeed a CDMA device, and can operate without LTE or GSM. From site homepage:
  20. Just wanna take issue with that. This phone supports GSM & CDMA. I'm still hoping to activate 2nd SIM on Sprint MVNO... Just cuz Verizon hasn't approved Pro¹ (yet?) for use on their CDMA network, doesn't mean the phone doesn't support CDMA. I do understand that people are using Verizon on stock devices with just LTE (without GSM or CDMA) with a SIM card first activated on another device, but for that workaround to be effective, need voice over lte working.
  21. I asked earlier if anyone had found any silver lining deals as a result of this, and got no replies. There must be something?
  22. Lineage Test910has Android security patch level from March 5, 2020. I think I read some stuff recently about some updates breaking magisk - perhaps forever. https://www.xda-developers.com/magisk-no-longer-hide-bootloader-unlock-status/ https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/03/11/safetynet-improvements-kill-magisk-hide/ edit: sorry test 10, although test 9 probably the same
  23. I use a magisk module under LOS called safetypatch that makes it pass. I dont think re-flashing will do anything different. Besides bootloader & root, lineage test versions dont have selinux, unsigned, etc, so more reasons to fail.
  24. Anyone know any real good deals as a result of coronavirus, etc? I spent some time searching cruise ship rates, seems they're not heavily discounted. And the way they advertise is tricky, had to actually go thru adding to cart to see all the fees and actual rates, etc, but needless to say a trip thats advertised as 42/night ends up twice that.... And apparently rules prevent direct erson-to-person resale. I found disneyland tickets a little cheaper than normal, so did buy those....
