  1. After it being much-recommended, I've just been setting up AICP Q on my Pro1. I am stuck on a few rather simple points: - As someone else asked, keyboard backlight. - Set the status bar clock to 24-hour time (at present it is 12-hour AM/PM). For the life of me I can find no setting for this. SOLVED - Disable Settings -> System -> Date & time -> Use locale default, then choose 24-hour format. - Navigation bar customisation - to add menu button, and change behaviour (e.g. I want to disable home button when on home screen from popping up recent apps). Actually, this ma

  2. OK - I've been setting up my phone for the last 6 hours and it's midnight here, so I'll have a crack at writing a guide for this tomorrow instead 🙂 Ultimately it was not difficult but required a few different steps that I only figured out by reading many forum posts and trial-and-error...

  3. Yeah split screen seems a bit buggy. I think R is far enough along that any bug reports should probably wait.

  4. I read that the 662 has about 80% of the performance of the 835. Since I was just going to use it to edit files and run a browser and a pdf reader inside a linux proot, I'm not sure it's really an issue for me. I think it's more of an issue for someone who was planning on running graphically intensive software. Honestly, I'd rather get the pro1x sooner, so that I can have a backup and they can get started on the pro2 campaign.

  5. In the setting go to "System" at the bottom and then "Date & time".

  6. I got safetynet passing with magisk prop hide on LOS, but it didn't suffice AICP. So yes, please, share what you got.

  7. The poll should speak for itself. I'm really wondering how many of us aren't computer nerds 🤓

  8. I will take any fxtec pro1 phone I can get, since they are the only keyboard phone that provides what I need. Full keyboard layout with all symbols and modifiers. That being said if you did want a refund, you can just file for a chargeback. Now IGG says that you're crowdfunding and it's not like regular shopping, etc, etc. but all of that's IRRELEVANT because your credit lender has ALL THE POWER. If you can convince your credit card provider to give you a refund, they'll give you your money back regardless of what IGG's policies are. In fact if you look at IGG's support pages, it exp

  9. Yes they do. Contact them at info@fxtec,com with a full description of the problem(s) and they will get back to you. It may take them a week or two to reply to the email, varying on volume of mail and things like how locked down they are. I just had a successful repair done.

  11. Just installed AICP. Still exploring, but love the extra features so far. Thanks @tdm. Your work on LOS and AICP has made the pro1 experience amazing! I found a potential bug. Looks like I can customize some advanced navigation commands. (in other words, when you long press/double tap navigation buttons.) I tried it out and it works for the most part. But I don't seem to get split screen functionality to work. Starting split screen the normal way works fine though. Navigation command for camera don't work either, but I uninstalled the normal camera in favor of gcam, so that might be on

  12. A late update with my device suffering this issue...I fixed it after tightening a loose screw. I dissembled my phone looking for any loose connectors, specifically the flex cable to the USB sub board, but the screw circled in red was loose with maybe 1mm of movement between the screwhead and PCB. (thanks to @gelraen.ua for the photo, I forgot to take photos haha) The FCC teardown photo below shows some contacts on the underside of this PCB. So my theory - without knowledge of the schematics or circuit diagrams - is that a lack of contact against the metal midframe caused the Hal

  14. This sort of anti-correlates with that most true nerds would stay away from a social thing like this forum, and thus never get to the poll. 🤣

  15. I forgot to add, I am puzzled by system and vendor being commented out. You need those. I almost suspect they included one of their test batch files by mistake, I would restore those.

  16. The original post mentions 16 files to flash but the latest archive contains 24. What do we do with the other 8? Is there a certain order to follow? Also the fastboot_all.bat causes confusion. The 'fastboot flash userdata.img' command results in an error: unknown partition 'userdata.img' fastboot: error: cannot determine image filename for 'userdata.img' And both the system.img and vendor.img are commented out. Is there a specific reason for this?

  18. This is usually scripted with a small shell script / batch file. That's how Google does it with Nexus/Pixel. I thought Chen provided one? But otherwise, no, you cannot flash to multiple partitions with one command. It is one at a time. And yes that is tedious and error prone. Hence the scripting.

  19. Ok, so I have to do all the two dozens of "fastboot flash" commands from the first post? Iwas just curious if there is a "one command way".
