  2. Did some tests of my device last weekend. There has been quite much skepticism however the construction of the sliding mechanism is robust enough. Hypothesis During severe mechanical impact the sliding mechanism will take the most damage. Method Put the device on the roof of an automobile and drive 3km on the highway in 100km/h Result Everything broke except sliding mechanism and the keyboard. Reflection It is not recommended to transport your device on the roof of your car. The sliding mechanism of the F(x)tec Pro1 is a strong an

  3. If anyone is set up to build LineageOS, I have pushed a potential fix for this problem to https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_frameworks_native/+/312770 It seems to prevent the key remapping problem with AutoInput enabled.

  5. Hi, I am considering buying your phone since it is now the only one avaiable with a physical keyboard. This will be to replace a Blackberry Keyone which is no longer working well and as of January 2022 Blackberry will no longer be supporting phone service in Canada wher I live. I want to confirm that Bell, the Canadian network provider that I use, can support your phone. In checking with them they have asked me for the imei number. Could you please provide this? Also, assuming that Bell can support your phone, and I order it now, if my current phone dies before the new phone is d

  7. I've made the experience that shorter cables work better since the signal strength is better. Even the best cable won't work if it's 2m long.

  8. I've had the same issue, at times excessively. Ghost input was an issue as well. For me it was solved temporarily by updating the system OS (in my case LineageOS). Im think updating to Android 11 (?) solved it mostly, I only had these issues rarely again. It seems to be related to software load: the system is under load (i.e. some background process) and the keyboard recognition is stopped temporarily. When it starts again it checks for the time passed and believes that you pressed the key twice or longer. I was interested to prioritize the keyboard process above everything el

  10. You shouldn't need to provide it. Canadian carriers have done away with CDMA so it's not like they need to whitelist your ESN, If they do ask via an online check, just enter 1111111111119 . I've jumped between carriers (Fido, Bell, Telus) and never really needed to provide it, just stick your SIM in. Also, I use mine on Telus, which shares a network with Bell. You'll be fine.
