  1. @tomthegeek, @SCΛRECROW, I suggest you to find a better (but removable) glue which is able to hold the display without allowing it to move. There is a ribbon cable at the bottom of the display (if I remember well) which is better to remain in fixed position. If that ribbon cable breaks, it may lead to ghost touches, display distortion, etc. Sometimes there is another glue comes with a display (maybe B-7000 for example), it seems to hold it good enough. Do not allow the display to move in the frame.

  3. The Pro1 certainly won't be updated, but I'm still pretty sure the contractor is working on the Pro1x, whether the same contractor or a different one. They most likely had to initiate a new contract. The contractor does the initial development job but is pretty bad at any maintenance follow-through. I assume that will probably be true for the Pro1x as well-- it will get an initial not well refined version of Android (probably 11) and will fall behind over time. I suspect they don't have a lot of choices of contractor and that they have no clout at all being a very small company. They get w

  4. That contractor has been MIA for more than a year now. lol I don't think we will see official stock android 10 anymore. Although a heads up from Fxtec would be well appreciated at this point because everything points to the base Pro1 being left for dead. (save for Lineage and Linux...)

  5. Background history Alright. So I broke my Pro1's screen. I don't know how the remaining scratches came to be, but the first one was the Pro1 falling off outside my bath tube (there was no water involved). I ordered a replacement as suggested on AliExpress. I ordered the screen on the 29th of December, it arrived on the 20th of January, I believe. I did not get to it until today. Replacing the screen The actual display seems to be the same as the one for the Elephone U / U Pro models. Replacing the screen is - probably - rather easy, though I managed to make some mistak

  6. I pulled all the black stuff off yes. However just realized now ATT won't activate my SIM in this phone even though the towers are still up until Feburary??? This 5G shit has me really worried. We've never been forced to upgrade before and now phones have to be approved instead of just the SIM card. That is a huge change in policy, before I could move the sim to any unlocked phone that was compatible with the towers and it would work. Now there's a specific list of phones that I can use. Time to finally start looking for a new carrier although it wouldn't surprise me in the least

  7. I'm having the same problem, used the 3M tape, left it under a couple of heavy books for 2 days but one corner is still popping up.

  8. The issue has been fixed after installing the screen that arrived today. Ordered two so I have a spare. Pretty easy replacement, but I am having issues with the screen sticking. I used the 3m strips all the way around but doesn't seem to be working. Will leave some weight on it overnight.
