  1. F(x) Tec has now posted a repair guide with links to the above videos (though hard to notice... the active links are in the section titles, not the graphics). There is a note about further information on the FAQ page which isn't there, so I hope that is something being worked on. https://store.fxtec.com/fix-your-broken-smartphone-screen/ EDIT: I just now noticed the date on this repair blog page-- March 4th 2021. I certainly had no idea it was there (so, as the thread title says new to me 😉). I only discovered it when one of the regulars over on Discord found it.

  2. Updated successfully OTA, but with a slight hiccup, to LineageOS version 18.1-20211025-NIGHTLY-pro1, security patchlevel October 1, with GApps and Magisk kept intact. The hiccup was that the phone, after restarting and then displaying the LineageOS animation for 20 minutes or so, booted into some kind of recovery, showing this screen (but after hitting 'try again', the system came up without problems in normal time, i.e. a few seconds) : Now of course I wonder whether this was caused by something in the update or maybe my phone is developing a problem...?

  3. Beloved community, here it is: Another up-to-date outdated ROM to satisfy your custom ROM fetish. LineageOS 17.1 JeBB "A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man!" is (so far) a slightly modified build that will be updated in irregular intervals. Future builds may contain additional fixes, or I may attempt to fix things with a Magisk module ... "may" is the important word here 😉 This build can be installed from scratch like any LineageOS build (LineageOS Wiki). Dirty-flashing from the last official LineageOS 17.1 is possible, but the official signature keys have to be exch

  4. Long time no see 😁 I uploaded a new build 💩 Is there a way to "bump" this thread when I edit the first posting? Or do I have to reply to the thread each time I want to make people aware of a new build?

  5. Not in my case. I went back to Lineage for a while to keep up with security updates. But given the version of Android has changed, I think it would be risky. On the other hand, why not try it... the worst that happens is you end up having to wipe after all, but maybe it will work. Just back up your data.

  6. Just published an improved version of that. You can now fully customize your own vibration pattern.

  8. Are you prepared to buy a second phone as cold standby (preferably not a pro1)? It's not a question of if your phone will break down but when. It's not just software, you will need to do some stuff on the hardware too (including replacing parts unless you want to wait 9 months). And are you prepared to wait a very long time to get your phone? Ubuntu currently isn't very good on phones in general, so you will certainly have more luck with lineage.

  9. Hello, Using gelraen teardown I disassemble my Pro1. I remove dust and (thanks to @DieBruine) screw down with loctite all what I see with abnormally operating clearance. I play a little with cameras stabilizer, everything looks normal. (My phone felt 2,50 m a month ago, and I only had VERY blurry pictures). I reassemble, and test. Oh, pictures look blurry (a little). Then I disassemble the cameras plastic-glass behind, play a little with cameras stabilizer, reassemble glass. (see attached picture from service manual) Surprise ! This camera works perfect, I can now taking pictures
