  1. It's a little bit apples and oranges, AliExpress is a large distribution expediter that can afford to keep all kinds of parts stocked in large quantities. FxTec doesn't have the capital to keep large volumes of parts on hand and I'm pretty sure they have ordered/are ordering all the parts at once for assembling the Pro1x (including all the spare screen assemblies they need and which have been ordered on IGG) to minimize their costs. I should point out that I don't actually know this is what is going on, but it would be my guess.

  2. Something that might be interesting: I also had the issue with blurred images at far distances. Fascinatingly, after updating the device from LOS 16 to 18 (Android 9 to 11), the camera works fine again. I don't know the exact version I was running at but if you're encountering the same problem maybe a software update can help... Obviously, Android 11 brings new problems since apps aren't adapted to it yet.

  3. The cover I bought was exquisitely stiff and tall enough. It maintains sufficient hardness even after processing. It also has the softness required for installation, so it feels like a good fit for the Pro1. Attaching the cover creates a small gap between the LCD and the keyboard, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

  4. Hey guys, unfortunately I am facing the ghost touching issues since two days making usage of the phone almost impossible. So I will contact the fxtec support. Does anybody know how to figure out if I still got warranty? I'm not sure if I have 1 or 2 years. There is no information on that on the invoice or in my account...

  5. I bought it here. https://ja.aliexpress.com/item/4000021614410.html?channel=twinner Since it was supposed to be processed, I bought more than one, but it was cheap and saved.

  6. Indeed, this works fine. Personally I recommend attaching this so it opens like a Japanese book, as the flip part is thus not interfering with the keyboard usage. Plus it protects the buttons and fingerprint reader when closed. See e.g. earlier in this thread. But it is a matter of taste. As a 'westerner' it feels odd opening it like a Manga.

  7. How? Haven't you tried to check it using a magnetized screwdriver? It seems the magnet at display side is really close, so there should be a hall effect sensor relatively close to that spring.

  8. Even though Fxtec runs the website, this is just a user forum; Fxtec does not publish official statements here. Still, they do publish monthly updates about how the preparations for production are going for the Pro1X on Indiegogo, which have been copied into this thread here, too: Indiegogo backers also get that information by email. It just seems that the people who ordered straight from the website instead of using Indiegogo don't get as much love...

  9. The cover for the P20 Pro I bought on Aliexpress looked good. The translucent part is hard. The colored part is semi-hard. The side part is open so it does not interfere with the power button or fingerprint sensor. I just took the plunge and cut the part that got in the way with nippers. There seems to be no problem with strength. There is no problem with the strength of removal. Unfortunately, the LCD cannot be protected, so I would like to attach it to the flip cover.

  10. Though it does not look like it, it IS clean. it is dust&pocketlint that have crept into the case, that have 'sanded' down small areas of the back In hindsight it would have been wise to add a small sheet of some tissue between the TPU-casing and the Pro1 And though the above might look like deep dents, they are so shallow I can hardly feel any difference sliding a fingertip over the back
