I don't use signal and don't want to install it but it works with all other apps I tried.

So I brought one Pro1x with 2.1.5 GMS-less, and one stock 2.1.2 Pro 1x, to the Cayman Islands, using a new Flow sim card in each one. Flow operates both LTE and GSM network service. After extensive trial and error, I am sorry to have to confirm that the only way to get voice service with these phones on Flow is to lock out LTE and select "GSM only". Allowing the phones to connect via LTE showed good signal strength, and SMS and data worked, but voice calls were unable to connect about 90% of the time. Interesting indeed. I have something that maybe related to share, I wasn't sure what to think of it before... For a while I'm now using magnetic USB C connector and cable and since then I did not have any charging issue on both my Pro1 and my Pro1X. By the number of contacts, I expect only USB 2.0 signaling is supported (just like the included charger). I am not sure what is really different except that connection is generally instant rather than relatively slow to reach all contacts.

As @PoongZY said above, there a two 2.1.5 builds, one has GMS and the other don't. The one that has GMS can only be found via the beta testing scheme, which you'll need to join to get.

One month later.... nothing has happened. I still did not get my Pro1-x back. Unfortunately my OnePlus stopped working today - so I am without a mobile whilst I should have my Pro1-X since AUGUST!
