  1. You make a good point, and I do actually have them enabled. And they are rare. However, I understand people finding them annoying. They rarely provide actionable information (in the case of amber alerts they may not have a lot of actionable information and the ones I get are mostly so far away from me it rarely matters anyway), I don't mind that they send the alerts far and wide, but why they have to use such an obnoxious loud sound is beyond me. To get me to paty attention. Alas, I spend my time trying to kill the sound rather than Pay full attention to the message. I read every text me

  2. Was hoping their official online storefront would offer an identical match, but too hopeful. I was also wondering if it is more like their smaller 1600mah battery but stacked twice one above the other to make 3200mah. The size of those Apple ones would be OK, but too weak in voltage/capacity to be considered IMO. Something like this at 3.85V at 3400mah (13/09Wh) for perhaps the Lenovo Zuk Z2? https://www.batteriesnbulbs.com/BnB-Sino-6505-CS-LVZ210SL-3.85V-3400mAh-13.09Wh-Li-Polymer-Mobile-SmartPhone-Battery-for-Lenovo.html A lot of websites have really great selections

  3. ...A totally different question is if it is wise to do so. AFAIK It is not a two-way thing, and should not require location to be turned on. It is the matter of the carrier broadcasting a message over the cell towers covering an affected area. And HOPEFULLY it is needed so rarely that you are unlikely to know if it is on or off. In DK they have started using this with yearly testing, with a nasty ear-wrecking sound, so this year I made sure all my phones were off,,, during the test...

  4. Guessing here but some countries might have legislation that prevent it from being turned off. It might be something forced deep in the android kernel? Here in DK, on a Pro1 (not X) on LOS20, I AM allowed to turn them off, On both a Pro1X and a Pro1 on stock Android it is the same. I have not flashed a Pro1X with Lineage (yet), but seems unlikely that it should be generally disabled by LOS for the Pro1X..

  5. I think we have all done this once or twice, somewhere. God's way of keeping us humble. 😄

  6. Sorry, no, I meant an app in the play store called "Finqwerty" (the developer is Finnish) that gives you alternative key mappings for the Pro1 hardware keyboard. https://android.onse.fi/finqwerty/#pro1 It's free and the "US for Physical Qwerty" is wonderful. One of the things it does is allow you to use shift for almost all the yellow characters except ? and /, which have to be left on the L and the P keys and require the arrow key because it is more or less hard wired. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fi.onse.qwerty.finnish EDIT to add: Finqwerty is n

  7. If you are using stock, unselect US English for the Physical keyboard and select "default" and you will get ? and / back. The spacebar behaviior in one app I have no explanation for. You might also investigate Finqwerty for an even better experience.

  8. Another update of LineageOS 16.0 (for SD835-Pro1 only) is available at https://findus.zwergenschaenke.net/~puma/linux.html#lineagepro1. The ROM dated 20230516 gives you backported security patches up to the 5 May 2023 ASB. No other changes since last month. As usual you can refer to the tarball of local mods to learn all about differences with respect to the official lineage-16.0 tree. Have fun!

  9. That really doesn't give me any warm fuzzies. Still waiting in my case, I guess I'll wait longer and be less surprised should the wrong one show up.

  10. I received a phone today, a phone, not the phone I ordered and paid extra for to upgrade it. I received a black qwerty 6gb ram 128gb rom, while I ordered and paid extra for a Sapphire blue 8gb Ram 256gb Rom. I haven't opened it, send an email to fxtec and await their response. After 3 years I finally got the wrong phone....
