  1. For what it's worth, I did take my Pro1 to a local repair shop. I gave them the videos and they had no problem and my Pro1 is fine. They actually thought the Pro1 was cool and were a little excited to work on it. It was just for a screen replacement because I lost all touch screen capability (didn't respond to touch) but when replacing the screen didn't change that, they did some further investigation, They didn't find the problem (I ended up sending to to FxTec knowing at that time I had to wait 6 months for parts) but they did a great job (FxTec, of course, also did a great job).

  2. Thank you @foxfreejack@Rob. S.@SchattengestaIt– I managed to macgyver the buttons back functioning by using the double sided electronic repair tape I used to reattach the display. I doubt we will get new videos from FxTec, but a big warning to everyone who is trying to disassemble/reassemble their phone: When removing the bottom cover, make sure to go nowhere near the buttons, else you will destroy them When removing the bottom be careful with he fingerprint connector, one wrong move and you will break the cable When reattaching the bottom cover, make sure to push out all but

  3. I replaced my usb board in the past, so had to disassemble and reassemble the phone. I didn't notice any difference in the hinge. The hinge mechanism didn't need to be disassembled -- just the screen and the keyboard. My pro1 is currently still disassembled, but I am using my Pro1X now.

  4. You will need an actual aarch64 device (Xperia 10 II / 10 III) + Sailfish X license, an older device won't work and only license isn't enough too đŸ™‚

  5. I believe Fxtec will do it if you contact them. You'd be without the phone for a while though. My guess is a repair shop could do it if given that link to the instructions on how it is done. They are generally used to taking apart many different models of phones.

  6. This may be helpful for people wanting to open the Fxtec pro1 to recharge/replace the battery. It has video instructions on how to open the phone. https://store.fxtec.com/fix-your-broken-smartphone-screen/

  7. One thing that people may way to consider to avoid this issue is installing an app that shuts down the phone before it gets to the critical level. This won't help people who have this happen before installing the app or have the battery run out when the phone is off for a long period of time and the battery drains, but it can help those of us who are able to do this step before it happens. I believe this requires root (my Pro1X is rooted). The app I installed is called Advanced Charging Controller App (ACCA). It isn't on the play store. Here is its page: https://f-droid.org/en/packag

  8. You need to disassemble it and get enough charge in the battery for it to get to be able to boot to the charging screen (or someone else do that for you). Here is how I got a charge in my pro1 battery. There are other methods that have been posted. For example, you could jump charge it with another battery (9 volt alkaline battery was offered as an example). But however you charge it, you need to get the Pro1X battery out of the phone.

  9. That is unfortunately a known issue with the Pro1X, that it allows itself to get discharged beyond the point of recharge by plugging in, We have several threads mentioning this. I will try to find and merge. merged
