  1. I ordered the Rii 518BT bluetooth keyboard (USB-C variant) and couple cases so that I can build my own slider phone. Let's see how it goes. I have Zenfone 9 which has dimension 146.5 x 68.1 x 9.1 mm so there should be enough room to built sliding mechanism when the keyboard is attached. Camera hole still needs some tinkering thought. You can see my idea below. For the sliding mechanism I am using magnets inside a plastic rail. The rail is actually a cable cover but seems to be solid with the magnets. First I tried to develop tilting mechanism similar to Astro Slide but since I do not have

  3. Oh yeah, I forgot that your battery started with 2 cells, but you separated them. I will probably attempt something similar, but with the batteries that @SchattengestaItbought. I haven't taken my Pro1 X apart yet, so I won't mess with that. I will probably take the bms and connector off the MI 6 battery I bought for testing with my Pro1. I proved that it would power the Pro1. I still have that phone taken apart. We'll see if the BMS likes the new batteries and how the plug orientation works. This all assumes that the new batteries arrive on their long journey from China.

  6. There is a long thread about this: https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3427-sound-problems-with-no-response-from-fxtec-support-for-45-days-pre-christmas-device/?tab=comments#comment-59239 Unfortunately with no satisfactory solution. The Pro1 applies some aggressive filtering on the built-in mics that seemingly cannot be disabled. You get best results by using a USB microphone or by recording from the 3.5 mm jack. In the latter case, make sure to disable NFC during recording. It will otherwise introduce a low-amplitude, but clearly audible, "clicking" background.

  7. Despite my previously announcing the opposite, I did it again. Here are updated builds of good-old LineageOS 16.0 for the SD835 Pro1 (QX1000): https://findus.zwergenschaenke.net/~puma/linux.html#lineagepro1 The ROM dated "20240327" gives you all backported ASB fixes up to March 2024. As always, my build includes some local modifications specific to the Pro1, as documented in the patch tarball. These have not changed since last year. Credit goes to @Laska for getting me to fire up my old Pro1 again. This made me realise how much LOS 16 was better suited for my use-case compared t

  8. The status changed to "arrived". I paid shipping charges of $105.34. I'm a little disappointed that I won't be getting a stuffed animal.

  10. I see, you don't understand how those batteries are labeled. 5036108, model taken out of the fxtec battery is in reality size of that battery. 50 means it's 5.0 mm thick. 36 means 36 mm width 108 means 108 mm length That's why I found this battery, it meets all the size criteria and that's why it has very similar but not the same capacity. Those keyboards has 1450-1450 mAh batteries because they are twice as thin than the fxtec battery. And that's why you are wrong, sorry. Why there is no 3200-3150 mAh batteries in this size on the market? Because batteries with tha
