Lineage-21-20240729-NIGHTLY-pro1x with July 5th security patch installed smoothly via OTA. MindTheGapps14, and root was maintained. Fooled me. Back to Mondays. :D

Rubber band worked for me! I had a power meter attached. During the process, there was a 150mA pulse approximately once every 10 seconds while the power button was depressed. After about 5 hours, the LED turned into a fast blinking red light, and charging rate increased to 500mA. When I saw this, I removed the rubber band. A short time later, the screen turned on, Android booted and charging rate went up to 2000mA.

Very sorry to hear that. By now, you'd think the gods of fair play would've given you a working phone you actually wanted.

Circling back to this thread in case it comes up in a search... for now, at least, this seems to have been fixed/solved and if I log out, I can still see the full forum. Thanks to @Rob. S. for catching that this had changed.

I have no luck with smartphones... My Magic V2 has developed black spots in two of the the large screen's corners, I am in contact with support and now in the process of backing up before resetting the phone. Reverted to the Titan Slim that I already had had plans to put on ebay, given that it's still in good cosmetic shape – good that I didn't. Slightly surprised to find that the Titan's limited physical keyboard (which I had a lot of complaints about while I was using it) immediately feels a lot better than the Honor's on-screen keyboard...
