I got a "Pro1 shipping update January" email, hoping thats the "assigned" email I've been waiting months for. [Order #225xx] (July 15, 2019), QWERTY, IGG Backer.

As its so late in the month, unless you happen to live next to the factory I don't expect anyone to get their hands on it this month. Still, its nice to have an actual date. Also, I wonder what licensing/regulations they are still waiting on. If they're something USA/EU only they could theoretically ship the phones out to other parts of the world while waiting on the ones for those regions.

For a moment I was hoping I could actually make my second preorder like I was originally planning and pay it bit later when I had the funds. Seems thats not the case, and my second discount coupon has expired anyway. So much for getting a second/backup pro1.

According to the Fxtec website Pro1 network support is as following: Global LTE (FDD+TDD), WCDMA/UMTS, CDMA/EVDO, GSM/EDGE Cellular Bands; GSM: 2, 3, 5, 8 WCDMA: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 CDMA/EVDO: BC0, BC1 TD-SCDMA: 34/39 TDD-LTE: 38/39/40/41(100mhz) FDD-LTE: 1, 2/25, 3, 4, 5/26, 7, 8, 12/17, 13, 20, 28, 66 Since our frequencies are 3G bands 1, 5, 8 and 4G bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28 & 40, yes it does work here, as well as in a lot of other countries.

Personally I would love to see multiple keymaps like the above added for every key on the keyboard (including spacebar, arrow keys, etc), just have them set to default keys upon launch, but then let users modify the keymaps to whatever they want. This would let users specify whatever key combinations they want, non-english layouts, unimplemented custom keys (like home/end/pgup/pgdn/insert), etc.
