  1. Yep, that is my guess too. I didn't remember them being called Fulfillment warehouses, but that's probably just my memory being imperfect. 😂
  2. Are those screen protectors we bought plastic or glass? I haven't looked at mine for a while. Note to self: Yes, you *are* going to put that screen protector on before the phone leaves the house and before you bring the phone into areas of the house that aren't carpeted.
  3. I wouldn't either. But the question isn't what we would call them. The question is what Chen is calling them. It seems he is calling FedEx the fulfillment center and now there is a warehouse concept that is what we all assumed were the "fulfillment centers" before. I take his Tweet to mean that the phones have been processed in at least one destination country and are now on their way to the shipper (what he is calling a fulfillment center), like FedEx, and once they are dropped off at FedEx (or equivalent), they will get tracking numbers.
  4. That is what I keep worrying about! OUCH! We *need* a case! Any case!
  5. I think he's still talking about the first batch. The second batch = "more is being built and will be on its way."
  6. Seems like we have different terms being used at different points in time. I think the common understanding was that they have a factory in China and they have fulfillment centers in different countries where they ship the phones too and then they are processed in those locations by people paid by fxtec to package and sort and put customer addresses on them, etc. Then they are mailed/shipped via normal means. Now it seems like we have: A) Factory where the phones are made in China B) Warehouses in multiple countries where the phones are shipped to from China and where all t
  7. If support is correct, then the second batch will be sent from the factory in mid-November, to the fulfillment centers, not from fulfillment centers to customers. Once people get the phones in their hands from the first batch, we can estimate how long it takes from when fxtec reports the batch leaving, until the phones arrive in customer hands. The second batch should be about that same length of time or less, than the first batch, if customs is faster with the second batch, with all other variables being equal. If they paid for faster shipping on the first batch, then that could change
  8. Same here. Order number 78xx. No shipping notification. No moto mod coupon. US QWERTY. Paid on July 31st. Seems pretty clear, since Chen said it, that all the orders in the first batch were for moto mod coupon customers (at least those who paid before the deadline). What isn't clear is how many of the second batch will be moto mod coupon customers and how many non-coupon customers will be in the second batch. It would be nice to get a clarification, from fxtec, on whether the mid-November estimate on the second batch means shipping from China to fulfillment centers or shippin
  9. Ah...I was on my phone, so no way to mouse over. I see it now on my laptop. Thanks.
  10. Exactly. I broke 2 screens on my G2 keyboard phone (HTC Vision), because the belt holster was made so that the screen faced outward (and bare..not covered) and it pressed up against the seat belt buckle when I got into my vehicle on 2 occasions. I replaced the first screen myself, but didn't have time with the second one, so I bought my Relay 4G phone instead. With that one, the holster was made for the screen to face inward. No more problems. That phone did have a really bad problem with the flex cable to the screen wearing out, so I did go through a number of the phones for that re
  11. I have learned, the hard way, that is always the best policy anyway. ☹️
  12. The thought here is that you won't get OTA updates once rooted? Have we heard if they will be making the files directly available for downloading, so that we can flash them ourselves (which would require re-rooting)?
  13. I would suggest making beef jerky if you are going to do it ahead of time.
  14. It happened in the Case for the Pro1 and Magnetic Cables threads when I was on my phone. However, I'm on my laptop now, and didn't notice the delay. It might be a browser issue. On my phone, I saw the placeholder image, but it took longer than a few seconds for the final picture to load. I scrolled up and down trying to get it to trigger and sometimes it would take longer than 10 seconds. I didn't time it exactly. It was just longer than what I would have expected.
  15. 😐 Maybe that refers to their belief/hope that some 3rd party will make cases for their phone that work, when they couldn't figure out how to do it. 😏 To be fair, a company that specializes in cases might be able to do that, since that's their business. And, I suppose, with a start-up, those companies aren't going to make them before the phone is released. It will be interesting to see if anyone does make anything for it, given the lower production numbers vs other phones. On the other hand, if *most* Pro1 customers will buy a case (since there isn't any other competition), then i
  16. Yes, that is very annoying and slows down reading posts with pictures. If anything could be done about that, it would really help in reading picture-heavy threads.
  17. I agree that a sleeve and a case don't serve the same purpose and it was dishonest of them to keep silent until the phones started shipping in order to notify everyone that the case is no longer being made (regardless of whether it is free or for sale).
  18. Something like this looks interesting: https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Charging-Terasako-Compatible-Smartphone/dp/B07RHVNFQ6 I like the 90 degree option. That would make the cable last longer for my family members who like to bend the heck out of the cables when they are using the phone while they are plugged in. 😁
  19. That first link brought me to a bunch of HDMI adapters/cables. I wonder how they can make the ones you bought for that price. Seems cheaper than just normal USB-C cables. LOL Oh....it is only available in 3.9 feet lengths. That wouldn't work for me. But I'll be curious to hear how they work for you.
  20. I googled for the DYNALink, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Do you have a link to it?
  21. Thanks for the info. Have you tried any other brands? Are there pros or cons to different brands?
  22. I was asking about the magnetic adapter, not the wireless charging. You are saying the E7 has a usb C port?
  23. I agree. But just so you know, if you haven't clicked on it yet, there are subtitles showing what he is saying.
