Ah heck, now it started with my phone too. I've activated the display fingertip option and it shows a touch frenzy in a straight line right on the upper row of the VKB and the 1 2 3 of the SIM unlock screen. For now I can temporarly fix it by giving the screen a firm massage with my thumbs or by squeezing the spot where the back screw cover is with my thumb and index finger. It's going to be a hard few weeks until I'm back home and can contact support for a replacement.

I can at least confirm having both characters dropped and ghost characters appearing/repeating while typing.

People here have ordered replacement screens for about $50 on aliexpress.

I've just updated to the newest build (20200831). The Lineage page doesn't list any changes since last week, so I don't expect anything to act different except the notification going away. I have now activated the option to auto-delete the update file after updating. Maybe that's why I didn't get the prompt to restart my phone to finish installation. I restarted manually then and everything was fine afterwards.

There's this bug where the directory /persist/data/fingerprint keeps it's data and can't be overwritten:

And before you ask: f(x)tec supports (almost encourages) people installing othes operating systems. So unlocking the bootloader and installing Lineage does not void your warranty.

There's this one app by the Barmer health insurance, which has a function to scan documents via camera. Problem is, on the Pro1 the camera image is rotated 180 degrees, making aligning the documents to the viewfinder pretty challenging. I've captured the moment where the app activates torch and camera. Maybe someone else here can figure out what this app does different from other camera apps that work properly. barmer_camera.txt

The SIM/sdcard slot is actually the secondary SIM slot. When you put the phone on a table with the screen facing down, the sim tray should come out looking like on the attached picture (I have 2 SIMs inserted). Both slots are nano sim slots. If your SIM works in one but not the other, I have a feeling that your card slot may be defective. But first make sure under Settings -> WiFi/Internet -> SIM cards that this card slot isn't deactivated (with card inserted).

The LineageOS signing server is back online since yesterday and new nightly builds are appearing again. The Pro¹ build from today (20200824) installed gracefully via OTA on my phone.

Interestingly no builds on August 10th.

I don't have mobile until the PIN for SIM1 is entered.

I bought a secondary prepaid SIM which I'm going to activate next week. For now it sits in slot 2. To not get warnings I've deactivated slot 2. In this state when I turn on the Pro1 it doesn't ask for the PIN of SIM1 right after startup. I have to lock the phone first and then unlock it again for the SIM unlock screen to pop up.

Do you have the exact model and maybe the release year of that headset? Maybe we can figure out which BT protocol it tries to use. Does it behave the same for video/music playback and phone calls? Prepare to be asked for a logcat 😉

I noticed when this Lineage version moved from test22 to official suddenly some apps like Mario Kart Tour and Pokemon Go suddenly became available through the Play Store, while they were listed as not compatible on test22 and before. So maybe the signature also plays a role in some cases.

I now have cut away almost the entire right side of my P20 silicon case. I believe the small cutout for the power button was shifting around in tight pockets activating the screen by accident. When I took out my phone with an active flashlight this morning, i finally had enough. Been running around without any fingerprints set up the last two days. Slider also works better now. Still, this opens up new ways for dust and lint to sneak into the back of the case. Edit: and it was this issue all along.

You can either use the included OTA updater. Takes 30-60 minutes installing in the bakground until you need to restart the system. Keeps GApps intact. When installing via adb you will have to reboot to to recovery after installing lineage and then install GApps plus any other addons you want (with GApps needing to install before the first system boot or it'll mess up the OS). Hadn't even noticed it, since I barely use the launcher in landscape. But yeah, Trebuchet acts the same way here too, no matter if I set it to my usual 5x5 or go to a lower 4x4. Have recently unlocked and flashed an old Moto G3 Osprey to Lineage 17.1 - Trebuchet doesn't even work there. Overall I like the launcher being barebone - Nova always felt a bit bloated to me. Found my Pro1 unlocked in my pocket having done all kinds of stuff by random touchscreen interactions. 2nd or 3rd time this happened. Have now deleted and re-entered my fingerprints. Will keep an eye on this.

All four buttons are there for my car, same goes for my headset. Difference is that I can use my headset for calls but not the car.
