  1. Nope, nothing still. I usually don't have any issues receiving mails on this address. It's my main one and the same I'm using here. I'd appreciate it if you could resend the code. Thanks.
  2. My Indiegogo contribution's status finally changed to "Fulfilled" when I wasn't looking. I didn't get notified about this at all, nor can I find an email with a code anywhere, be it in spam or wherever. The email address on my IGG account should be working fine as I've been getting all update emails to it. I would normally be a bit more patient, but the news post said it would only change the status to "Delivered" (assuming it's actually "Fulfilled" here) once the code was actually sent out. My contriubtion ID is 1645. Hope somebody can take a look at this. Been holding off pre-ordering
  3. Something of note here: What you have in that post is a capital "Eszett"/sharp s. This thing didn't officially exist in German orthography until 2017 and has no use besides writing words with ß in all-caps. That way of writing those all-caps words is still very uncommon compared ot the previous method of replacing the ß with SS, which is still valid. This is not what you find on typical German keyboard. On those you have small, non-captial ß as the character on the keyboard and no direct way to enter the captial one. This might seem very minor, but it would be odd to have that character
  4. Responsiveness is key... after function perhaps. It really does not need to be much. There appear two kinds of moderators (the "Keymaster" rank, I suppose) on this forum. The one that is part of the dev team and the one that seems to be very eager, but in the end is or at least very much appears to be "just" a community moderator who can't answer anything new. Without clear distinction. The social media/Twitter feed has largely be uninteresting for their followers too. I get you want to sell this device. But recent posts were just rehashes of old tweets to stay relevant I guess. I'm
  5. Seconding EskeRahn's notion on that greek thing. It's getting rather cluttered there design-wise. So while it's very temping to have this symbols to type up some shenanigans directly from the keyboard (°ω°), I don't really see myself using greek characters on a regular basis anywhere (goes for all my devices). I'm not everyone, though.
  6. One problem with the umlauts being behind FN that just came to mind is writing capital letters. You'll have to thumbtype 3 keystrokes. I don't know if there's any stickykey functionality on shift or FN, but I wouldn't exactly be a fan of that either. Ideally I'd expect every key to be reasonable well reachable on the keyboard. The kind of people who use touch keyboards don't seem to have problems reaching all edges of the screen either. I don't have a Pro1 to judge myself of course, but I imagine it can't be as bad as you make it seem. As I said before, both will be useable as typing on th
  7. I suppose it's less of a question whether it could be certified, rather than if f(fx)tec will even bother getting that certification.
  8. How's the progress on sending out the coupons going? I was a pretty late backer (Contribution ID ~1600ish), though, so I understand this may take a while. Just curious if perhaps I was supposed to have recieved something already but didn't.
  9. I personally don't care for either function, but I'd love to keep away from anything that dumps the Google Assistant into my face. It's bad enough that by default that thing launches when long holding the virtual home button on stock Android. So if there's this Search button thingy, make it configurable so it can actually be useful, please.
  10. If they think they can deliver alternative layouts, let them try. The moto mod didn't exactly fail just because of low volume. I can't recall all details from top of my head, but stuff that took part in it it was the Moto team being unresponsive, relocated and like half laid off; parts reaching end of life/end up being very hard to source (concerning parts required for Moto Mod functionality); the Transform the Smartphone Challenge prize money never being paid out; etc. Some of that may not be 100% accurate, but to think it failed because of the layout versions that were never made in the en
  11. µ is present on German QWERTZ keyboards, but it's not a critical symbol. You use it as much as you'd do in English. There's also the degree symbol °, which is handy from time to time but also not a deal breaker if missing, I suppose. But the € symbol is something expected to be there, I'd say. Though I'd personally wish for a more adapted special characters layout. It's the number one thing of confusion when unexpectedly presented with a QWERTY layout. Regardless of that, for the placement of just the new characters, here are my recommendations: Ä - FN A Ö - FN O Ü - FN U ß - FN S
  12. Windows 10 ARM does run on Snapdragon 835 devices. Now that sounds like a nice fit, doesn't it? It's not that simple unfortunately. In the ARM landscape there isn't exaclty a common way to discover and talk to device components, nor will you get anywhere without drivers. But drivers are something you already mentioned. So where do we get these from? Certainly not from Microsoft. They've said in the past that Windows 10 ARM is not meant to be used with phones, so the chances of them supporting the Pro1, even with f(x)tec asking them, are rather low. Windows 10 ARM support is rather limit
  13. Let's say I would if I could. Pretty sure there was an edit button when I did the original post, but it's nowhere to be found on either post now. This forum sure is peculiar. Nevertheless, I think most of us will manage to read up on the incremental updates on each layout. Since I'm posting already: I'm sure the layout I posted can be easily expanded to cover more countries that use a form of QWERTZ in their keyboards. However, I lack the experience to properly pick and place required characters. Wikipedia isn't a great source for what's actually on the keyboards in practice it seems. My
  14. I did indeed. And that while typing on one, great job me. Thankfully it's easy to fix, so it should rather look a bit more like this of course.
  15. The QWERTZ layout again, huh? I actually had done some layouts in the past for the moto mod a good while ago which were supposed to actually and up on the hardware. One issue we have though, is the lack of guidelines when designing the layout. For example, am I allowed to have third level modifiers? I'm assuming the yellow pointing arrow is like FN for accessing the yellow printed characters. If that's the case, what happens with Shift on non-letter keys? When I did the moto mod layouts, I was told the characters on it have to match up with an existing Android keymapping. I found that o
