@Khalid I understand and agree with many of your feelings here. It's frustrating, especially after such a long wait, to have so many things get in the way of usability. I hope it gets better for you. But, if not, FWIW you can probably sell with ease (maybe for profit, see thread on used prices I've been watching), these clackers are in high demand right now. I do still struggle with my own Pro1 (like you), but it's actually really common for quality control to be on par with what you see here. In fact, I'm impressed FxTec has created something this stable and reliable. Here are some issue

Ebay VS buying direct: Is this for real?
everlast4308 replied to everlast4308's topic in General Discussion
@Jayfb and @ThiccAl thanks for sharing. I'm still curious about getting a spare unit, so that I can fearlessly tinker with mine. I suppose if I find a cheaper used one, that one would be the one to tinker with. For example, as far as I know we don't have any teardowns yet. I'd love to be the one to do that. @fxyo1's would even work for that! (RIP) Also, the trend continues! A new high price, wowzah! Active: $976 Buy-It-Now OBO ($1,295 Canadian, converted) https://www.ebay.com/itm/F-x-tec-Pro1-Pro-1-by-Fx-Tec-128gb-QWERTY-PKB-Phone-Montreal/254503113358 -
After a solid month, I give up. I need to vent.

Logged in hoping to catch @fxyo1 before it's too late: Please dig it out of the trash!!! There are LOTS of useful components, I would personally pay you cash for it. I'm sure others here or on Ebay would too. Like hundreds of dollars. - Battery - Keyboard - Shell - Main Board / CPU / RAM - Buttons / Sensors - etc It's just that these phones are so rare. Having one for parts is still super valuable!! I hope I caught you in time... otherwise what a waste 😠-
I almost requested a refund, just a few weeks ago. I had been waiting almost 1 year (since Feb 2019). Two main considerations I had at that time: # 1 -- Is this a scam? # 2 -- If not, how long might it be? We are lucky to have a lot of data now, that #1 should not be a concern anymore. Yes they messed up a bunch, bad service, huge delays. But at least it's not a scam, in the sense like, they're not just taking your money and running off to an island. No way, it's pretty clear at this level of fulfillment, that's not the case. (PHEW!) But yeah it's still a struggle, and I und

Ebay VS buying direct: Is this for real?

@Raksura Thank you for weighing in, that does help it make sense. The level of benefit still seems unclear to me (30 days early vs 90 days early; I guess we don't know) I'll admit I'm much more out of the loop than I was PRIOR to getting my phone. That gigantic "production status" thread was a fun read (we'll call it fun, sure) to help pass the time while I was waiting. But I just recently heard about Chen's note to us, that they may be delayed by coronavirus (on top of holiday gap). Maybe that's contributing to the spike in price / demand, but I hope it's overblown. -
Protective Case Suggestions and Ideas

Yes, this is what I'm most excited about. Being able to bore out the main swiss-cheese "lens" portion, to be left with only a "surround" of rubbery protection, helps open the device and reduces edge-of-touchscreen accidentals. In theory, anyway. It's lucky that the vol / pwr / etc. buttons are NOT on the top brick (screen), because cutting out the entire screen portion AND extra button holes might make it too weak to rely on. Top-brick: Cut main face, leave sides intact. Bottom-brick: Cut sides for ports, leave main face intact (or small adjustment for camera). Seems legit! I don't mean t -
Protective Case Suggestions and Ideas
everlast4308 replied to Waxberry's topic in General Discussion
@sequestris, you inspired me to try the clear case on front, and I was curious about @EskeRahn's concern of two cases fighting each other for grip in the gap between screen and keyboard, but at least with this combination of cases they seem to hold snugly while open, while closed, and while actively opening/closing! It's very promising! Also -- at least for me, this DRAMATICALLY improves my ability to casually flip it open, without having to think about it so much. -
I've been watching for used prices since before my pre-order arrived. Now I already have my phone (and I love it), but this trend has me curious: Sold: $650 (December) https://www.ebay.com/itm/114025919171?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Sold: $750 (January) https://www.ebay.com/itm/124065044910?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Active: $795 Buy-It-Now OBO https://www.ebay.com/itm/202892767007?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Active: $849 Auction (1 bid) https://www.ebay.com/itm/223881371712?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc I guess I expecte

FX Tec response time on emails requesting a refund.
everlast4308 replied to ckb1985's topic in General Discussion
Obviously it's because there is no guarantee (and in fact reason NOT to believe) that it will arrive in "a few weeks" as you say. You don't know for sure. Chen doesn't know for sure, either. For many people here, the frustration is less about waiting, and more about tying up funds during the wait. FxTec made it sound like they're not taking your money 'til shortly before delivery, which made the "waiting" period much easier on everyone who wanted to pre-order. We're rapidly approaching the 6-month anniversary of money being tied up. Surely if that 6 months turned into 2 years, i
