silversolver 849
I've already bought this, for reasons which do not pertain to its camera, but I do wonder if the Pro1 will have the ability to shoot ultra-slow-motion video, say 960fps or so, or if I will end up buying a separate device to do that. Does anyone who already has theirs care to enlighten me?
TeZtdevice 298
If some Pro1 users are not quicker, I will test it in the evening. 2
glumreaper 144
Monitoring this thread... It wouldn't put me off if it didn't, but it's a nice feature if it's there.
Krzysieq 55
doesn't even need to be 960fps, but anything in the slo-mo department would be a nice to have for sure

Thank you to everyone who offered to do research. I eagerly await the results.
EskeRahn 5,460
I have not experimented that much, but at least 1920x1080@120 x 1/4 is possible using Open Camera, that is 480fp FHD 120fps FHD saved as 120/4=30fps

Slow motion with the app "open camera" and... 1920x1080 120 FPS 0.25 speed

elvissteinjr 359
Spare the eggs. Have Eske record a high velocity clack of opening the slider instead, since he has multiple units to do so anyways 1
silversolver 849
Haha, clack the final sample while recording HFR with the retail unit. Genius. :)

Both do 960FPS.....backup phone or amazing optical zoom? For the my task the optical zoom would be more valuable.....

I think RX100 will be much more statisfactory in low light performance and picture quality in general... Ain't nothing like a real camera for photo/video.

I chose III over IV, as it has ever so slighter better low light, but poorer video stuff - that I never use.

It's been so long I'd forgotten. :O
elvissteinjr 359
If we don't have enough frames, why not just make some up? Not a serious alternative, but I find that version still very satisfying to watch, despite the artifacts.

Nice, and interestingly the copy of frames is good for the compression, so the resulting video is not huge. 0:20 in it does look a bit odd in the border between the display and the keys. So this only works when things are not moving fast, But could still be used to see details of fluid motion
