    • My one has a clatter, but not as bad as in video, acceptable to me

    • My one has a clatter, about the same (or worse) as in video

From what I have noticed, the side without the second arm is not as firmly fit (or because the upper part is supported by the other arm) and that's why the clacking happens. For me, when the keyboard is open in landscape upper left corner is completely still, but right corner is able to move just a little to make clacking noise.

For me it seems like that the fit between the bolt holding the arm in the screen and arm in the base could be more finely tuned or the second arm should also exist in the bottom to generate more pressure to keep the screen balanced.

Since the spring really do through a punch 😄 I almost dropped the phone the other day when I tried to open the slider one handed.

See the easy fix I've shown at almost the bottom of this https://eskerahn.dk/?p=3651 Simply take a rougly 5x20mm piece of self adhesive felt.

I agree that it is normal.... but certainly not that it is how it should be..... Luckily there is a VERY easy fix, as described above, It was one of the first things I did when I got my hands o

That's completely normal and it's exactly how it should be. As the hinge is based on two parts which aren't symmetrical, certain angles will make more of this noise.

Did someone find a good solution, that doesn't take 2-4 month to arrive? I recently recieved my phone and experience the same rattle. Honestly (despite the company saying otherwise) that is not normal. If I hadn't been following the forum here and thus knowing about the easy fix, that would have been a reason for me to ask for a replacement immediately.

Here an example with some allegedly 0.5mm thin rubber strips from here suitably cut

I placed two 'long' strips (5x65mm) at each end, and two minor pieces, one next to the space bar under the screen (3x17mm), and one on the opposite long edge side (7x17mm).

@EskeRahn I assume that is what you ended up with? How does it uphold in usage?
