  1. Hello all, After two months with my Pro1 I've decided that it's not the phone for me. Having used a Sidekick LX in the past I jumped at the opportunity to try out a landscape keyboard on a modern phone but my use cases meant I rarely slid it out. Most of the activities I do on my phone are in portrait mode and my BlackBerry KeyOne is more suitable. That said the Pro1 is an excellent device and during my use I never noticed any lag or slowdowns. It's just that I never ended up using its unique slide-out keyboard as frequently as I thought and would like someone who can benefit from it to b

  2. Just for the record, on my Moto Z3 Play it seems Fulguris registers itself as 'Lightning' (so it may be you have to choose 'Lightning' to open something with)!

  3. This worked. I use Root Explorer and I hadn't tried the long press. When you tap it, it offers a small set of apps to open it with including, in my case, Firefox and Chrome, but not Fulguris. But when I long press and do open with, I get a very rich set of choices, including all apps. I was able to open with Fulguris and then make a bookmark to the file, which works great. 👌 Not on my Pro1. Shows up as Fulguris, not Lightning. But thanks for the tip! 🙂

  4. Seems it depends on locale. In English, I see 'Fulguris', in German, I see 'Lightning'.

  5. @Hook Using File Manager + I was able to open a TXT file in Fulguris. I'm assuming you should be able to do the same with an HTML file. Other file explorer would probably let you do that too. In FM+ I needed to navigate to the file to open, long press, tap more and select 'open with' then select Fulguris. Then I was prompted to install a plug-in to support file URI which I did, Voilà! That easy 🤣 Thankfully you only need to do that once. You should be able to bookmark it from there. I wonder what happens if you type manually the file URI in Fulguris? Would it prompt to install that p

  6. I'm pretty sure Fulguris registers as a browser. However it's possibly not registered as an HTML file viewer. I'll see what I can do about that.

  7. You are welcome. Thanks for all the work you are doing for our Pro1. 🙂 Ah, you are right. For some reason I had thought I tested that and it didn't work either but it does. So that's fine! That's fine. As I said, not super important. By the way, using the html file does work, but not the way you jokingly suggested. 😉 Stock Android does not seem to consider Fulguris to be a browser, so doesn't offer it as an app to open an html file with. So first I have to open the file with an html viewer. Then, when I tap a link it does offer Fulguris to open the link, but there is n

  10. Thank you for taking the time to try it out and coming here to provide your feedback 😃 At first I was annoyed by that too but I'm still wondering what to do with it. If you just want to go back one level you can use the back button. Can you not just open that HTML file with Fulguris and bookmark it 😁 ? I definitely need to rework Bookmarks at some point but right now it is rather at the back of my task list. Improving tab lists, tool bar, settings, and fixing broken downloads should come first.

  11. i'm liking this browser quite a bit, thank you. One small annoyance is that if you go to a second level in the settings menu (say, settings /advanced settings), the navigation arrow at the top takes you back to your current web page rather than back to the top level settings menu. Also, I would love to import my Firefox bookmarks. Firefox has them in a simple HTML file if there would be a simple way to read the file in. Not super important. I don't know how hard or easy it would be. Just curious.

  13. I tried your browser, and it worked for the goal I tried. There's a web pictionary type game skribbl.io that with most mobile browsers is unplayable cuz when you start typing guesses, the address bar appears, which covers the top of the screen. With Fulguris, the address bar stayed hidden and game is playable. I did try F11 to get rid of the address bar, but it wouldn't go away until I scrolled around in the screen tho. I'd tried F11 on firefox and it didnt work either tho. Sometimes the desktop commands carry thru, I guess not this one. I haven't used this browser for anyt

  15. Exactly. Finqwerty is just layouts. Don't feel bad about using them, cuz the layouts included don't even let you type slash. Fxtec is taking forever to fix this basic stuff. It's all been reported by users since November. And the lack of slash key was complained about years ago, by me for example. All this stuff is resolved in Lineage the way stock should have done it. Including easy ways to type £ - that "SYM" key for example that isn't used with stock. Nobody knows why stock is taking so long to fix software issues that were reported in November/December, even those with sol

  16. I've gotten VLC with OpenSL ES initially working by taking audio_policy_configuration.xml from 1+5/5t. There are quite a few diffs, so I'm narrowing it down now. If you want to try this out yourself and report back, do the following: 1. Remove or rename the directory /vendor/etc/audio. This contains the currently used audio_policy_configuration.xml file. 2. Update /vendor/etc/audio_policy_configuration.xml with this one. I am particularly interested to see if this fixes audio issues in other apps. Note: audio_policy_configuration.xml is search fo
