Well I am still not on LOS (I am planning to move in a month, when I have a vacation). But I will share my opinion anyway: First of all, thank you for your great work, I am not using it now, but I do appreciate it! The free device is a reward yes. But it is a really shitty pay compared to the hours you guys put in. So it would be totally okay to take donations*. So if your only doubt with taking donations is the fact that you received a free phone, forget it and take donations. But if you just have phone developing and don't need to money... well there is a downside to donations. Dona

Thanks all for your thoughts and comments. My reading is that the Pro 1 is a pretty good phone but it's a first generation and has a few bugs in it. I think that as my Key2 is serving me well for now and I quite like the keyboard (though it could do with cursor keys, but that's a BlackBerry thing) I may hang on to it for now. But I will be keeping on eye on here for news and updates on the Pro1.

I have now seen anything. But some have already experimented with 3D cases, so maybe you can get the information from their experiments.

Yeah, they told me it was a driver issue and said that I could send it to them to get it fixed, or they could send instructions so I could fix it myself (with a warning that it would take about 2 hours to perform the fix). I asked them to send instructions (which they did) but never got around to following them, and after the latest OTA update the issue magically was gone. So either write to support, or try to just reflash the stock image I guess.

I acknowledge and respect the above experience. Just want to share that so far my experience has been more positive as I only set up the pro 1 recently: I benefited from the updated software, and from the tips of the community (Thread below). I am not a phone expert, but I could follow the advices which solve many of the problems listed above. Even using android stock, I am quite happy with the experience.

@BlindDroid I could prepare one for you and ship it if you have no better option. I have a few premium quality leather flip case from SnakeHive I could use. Trouble is I'm based in Germany so it's probably not your cheapest and fastest option. I'd just charge you the cost of the case and shipping.
