  1. ...The last 2 crowdfunders I backed who decided it was a good idea to ship stock to merchants before fulfilling their duties to their crowdfunders ended up turning their comments sections into a minefield and possibly tarnishing their reputation with eventual shipping delays & issues. Honestly I really hope FxTec doesn't follow suit. Support those who are supporting you first. If merchants really want bundles perhaps add multipack options to the IGG that they can select along with the rest of us...

  2. Update: 10 days later, I can report that OpenCamera has mostly settled my issues with the Pro1 as an "always-carry-on" camera. The "focus locked" program of OpenCamera works very well with the Pro1's double-action shutter button, and allows me to take sharp pictures also of quick-motion scenes. If needed, OpenCamera offers many more possibilities of manual control (exposure lock, ISO sensitivity, ...), but I rarely have to use them in daylight conditions. I'm also under the impression that focusing is faster than with the built-in LineageOS app, though I am not sure if this makes sense as I th

  3. Hey all, so I want to share what I think could become something that could work for. I decided to get two of these Bone Store universal slim bumper cases for the 4.7 inch to 7 inch phones. Sadly I could only find it on amazon https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RG2GFQQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and also using this case https://www.wavewallcases.com/product/wavewall-universal-anti-radiation-phone-case/ but with the two slim cases on, it does not fold as well if I remove the display slim case it closes quite well and slides up for camera use. 4. I use OpenCamera too. BUT be aware that the HDR mode of OpenCamera does not work well with the Pro1. The camera it self works fine in both bright and dark condition, so it must be a (relatively) simple matter of the camera driver not correctly handling the ISO-values through the Camera2 API, thus confusing the HDR stitching algorithm trying to use the images ending up in a strange dark halo around bright objects, I reported this about 1½ years ago... (HDR in OpenCamera works just fine with other hardware)

  5. I was just having a reddit convo and noticed that the onscreen keyboard popped up when I selected the reply field. At first I thought it might've been because I swapped from touch to keyboard, but everytime I tried typing in a new screen it pops up as well; it disappeared after I switched between tabs. This comes on top of an annoying "copy paste search" bar bug that has persisted accross updates: it just comes up for no reason at all, nothing is selected and when you do push "copy", it doesn't copy anything. This bug is not present on other platforms, so it might have something to do with the

  7. the number row is slightly tighter but a work around is using ones nails there or more toward the nail of your finger. I think if this were to be produced the display needs to be cut in half to fit more tightly and maybe some adhesive would help. The bottom part aside from new holes fits almost too snuggly on occasion it has slipped off after extensive use. The overall feel at least around the home with tiled floors makes me feel a little more comfortable if i were to mistakenly drop it. EDIT: Adding photos as I did end up cutting the top silicone in half and it fits snug enoug

  8. I'm not a big fan of HDR either, but as the dynamic range of digital image sensors are poor compared to real film (and most image formats and monitors are too), some motives leaves no alternatives. This dog grew up with a black German sheppherd. And getting a decent digital photo of the two was REALLY hard, and here HDR came to our help, compressing the dynamics. But though HDR certainly is not objectively accurate, it could be argued that it is subjectively more accurate, as it is closer to how we as humans experience a whole mixed scene.

  9. Thanks for the warning, Eske. In fact, I practically never use HDR. I still learned photography on film, therefore HDR pictures have an "unnatural" look for me most of the time. Matter of taste of course. With that being said, I could not reproduce your bad experience in a few initial tests. E.g., when I take an HDR picture from inside of my room towards the window, both the interior of the room as well as the bright-daylight world outside come out correctly exposed, with no shadow around the window frame. So HDR seems to work at first glance. But, as I say, I am not an experienced HDR ph

  11. Maybe this 36 pages long thread have finally been seen as an indication of some users being interested in protecting the Pro1(x)... 😇

  12. As the dog exists nu more, I just recreated a similar scene with a box and a sheep skin of similar whitish colour, and made a small collage. Note that the halo is most pronounced if you do not photo in the same direction as the light. The last of the four looks almost decent, where you can misinterpret the halo as a shade.
