I noticed these two videos appeared on the IGG page (at the bottom of a long scroll). I hadn't seen them before. One shows replacing the display (although it does it frame and all, not replacing the display in an old frame) and opening up the bottom part to replace the battery.
Thought they deserved direct links here.
It's one of the "features" Indiegogo offers manufacturers... It lets the manufacturer pass all the usual risks on to the customer. After this stupid year, I suspect Fxtec needs to absolutely minimize their risks for this next "big" production round. I don't like it, either, but if this helps Fxtec to stay in business and make a Pro² at some point, I'd say it's worth it.
This is intended as a central entry point with links to known ROMs for the PRO1/PRO1X.
You will need android adb / fastboot tools that officially can be found here (Windows / Linux / mAc) Important step BEFORE changing from Android initially!!
If you want to ever be able to change the phone back to the state it had when you received it with stock Android, there is an important step that is needed before flashing any non android-based ROM, That is to backup the persist partition.
If the device is unlocked and a recovery boot is present a fairly simple partition backup method (fo
actually, this happens to me a lot on my nokia 6.1 ,,, the trick is you have to let it completely die .. don't charge it for few days and then connect the charger... but the standby time on the fxtec is like a good 10 days lol.... but maybe try this method? don't charge it for a few days and then connect the charger... even from different sources and cables?
I have used this for some days now, seems to work nicely.
I did experience some odd behavior during flashing, see attached pictures
Anyway, when I rebooted the phone worked fine.
Another thing, bin the meny somewhere you have the option "custom keymap", what is this?
Are you using the charger it came with? If the battery got very low, it may not respond well to other chargers. How long did you leave it plugged in. Id leave it a few hours and see what happens.
I use Firefox on stock too, and do see the autorotation bug from time to time, but not correlated with FireFox usage.
If I open any app that use the sensor (e.g. "AndroidSensor" or a camera app), the problem disappears for me)
Otherwise just sell it to me, I have realized that the QWERTZ keyboard is better for Swedish.
And, I also realized that one device isn't enough for doing all the software evaluation I want to do.
Well, ain't that fine and dandy?
My Pro1 has just died☠️😫. There's no life in it whatsoever, doesn't even pick up the charger cable being plugged in. Looks like an email to Support and hope for the best I suppose. Unless someone here has any ideas.
Hi everyone. Lineage OS 17 is installed on my Pro1, coming from Lineage OS 16. I am having trouble with a few apps and wonder if anyone can help.
Banking Apps
Finger prints log-in never works more than once. It does work on other apps, but not banking ones. I read something about deleting fingerprints folder in a certain folder but I don't think I could find it.
British Airways Executive Club and some non-UK Covid proximity detection apps
Will not open as it says my device is rooted. Can I un-root or hide that the phone is apparantly rooted?
I have noticed what I thought was my error: Occasionally Ignoring touching the fingerprint reader (no haptic feed back indicating an unaccepted scan), BUT after clicking the power button to show the lock screen, re-touching the fingerprint reader unlocks just fine....
