Great thing, thinking about selling my digital Enthusiast Perk. Since it is sold out I think 500$ seem to be fair π

Oh there was a digital enthusiast perk for like 19$ where you get nothin' (well they promised some digital stuff, but it is mostly to support the project)
Converted one of my keyboards to that new AZERTY layout, three to go. It is so much better for typing French and foreign European languages. Since I've been living in Germany for over 16 years I do love the fact the the Γ is on the keyboard. What's also really cool is easy access to Greek letters. Makes it a lot easier when writing math and science papers. Ξ±Ξ²Ξ΄ΞΞ love itβ¦ Easy access to ellipsis characters is also awesome. π
I have also bought that perk anyway.
At first just to send some money, but I was also curious what those discussion and project updates mean.
...at some point they have completely removed that option and I still don't know if they wanted to share some additional information...
I have very few voice calls, and 99% of those I do either with a headset or in hands free mode, so I'm not the right one to ask on the sound quality.
Actually the sound quality I do experience is OK, it is the other end that is complaining about the quality on hands free, unless I talk in a loud and clear 'meeting-voice', rather than normal conversation.
I would expect VoWiFi calls to be similar to VoLTE here. in principle the same, just a matter of what paths the data-parcels take.
And the big difference to std calls is the (in principle) HD-voice quality. and it could be as simple as this HD-voice engine being faulty.
I disabled the 4G call option and received a call this morning which was "buzzy" I do have WiFi calls enabled though...
It would be nice to find a concrete workaround!
The same applies for me... I hope my current Pro1 will last for a long time anyway.
Also, if it will have a "UFS flash chip issue", I may find a way to replace that chip (potentially with a 256 GB version) if a Pro2 will not come up by that time... and I may also do it if I will buy a Pro2 anyway. π
I am mostly afraid about two potential hardware issues with Pro1:
- Screen breakage without a potential replacement
- Flash worn out issue (which is normal for long-term usage but a very bad problem to have)
Same here, I also took a perk for a Pro1X, to get an (even) more powerful Pro1 than I already got. So I have a strong suspicion that it is only going to be my daily driver, when support for 835 Pro1 dies out, from various developing sources. But that is the risk of crowd funding I took..
I'm on LineageOS 17.1. Changed title and first post accordingly... Sorry for not mentioning it.
My partner's Fairphone 3 (stock Android 10), same carrier as me, doesn't seem to have the setting, either.
