  1. Hi re-flashed the phone two days ago, and now the HDMI works. So now when I writing this post i have my phone connected to my Dell WD19 docking station. I see the phone screen on all three monitors, mouse and keyboard is working . (sorry for the really messy desk, I am a hardware developer )

  2. a week ago I replaced my screen with one of unknown origin. Everything seemed to work just fine until I realized that it can't detect taps on the edges anymore. activating show pointer location indicates that I can slide all way out, just not tap. saw something about this on the forum, but can't find it now, is it possible to solve?

  3. I had this same problem with mine, disassebled the phone and fixed the cable connecting the USB board to the main board properly in place, tada no more problem. Probably had come loose when i have dropped the phone. I thought about the port becoming loose too but it itself seemed very sturdy and not easily breakable like it was in E7.

  4. The sound quality during a call is bad. The speaker at the upper-front part of the phone near the front camera is of bad quality. I don't think it's a software issue. Just the speaker is scratchy. I am forced to turn on speakerphone mode which redirects the audio to the bottom loudspeaker of the phone to understand the other party. EDIT: on the second thoughts it may be a software issue as well, because the bottom loudspeaker's call quality is bad too.

  5. I am also having this very same issue on LOS17.1 after changing the screen. Would be very grateful if you have a solution.

  6. On my device this "custom keymap" option is greyed out. Is there a way to get the FINqwerty finnish for physical qwertz layout to work on LoS17.1? It was such a perfected layout and the only thing i miss from the stock. LoS Finnish layout's fn combinations doesn't match the print and it is sometimes very annoying. Edit: Un-Edited

  7. I just converted a classic AZERTY keyboard to the new AZERTY keyboard layout using stickers from tastaturaufkleber.eu. I'm really impressed with the quality of those stickers. They also claimed they are compatible with backlite keyboards so I tried them on such keyboard and they indeed let some of the light through. It's very impressive. Also the white prints are so bright anyway they are very readable. It would be great if we could get the guys at tastaturaufkleber.eu to do stickers for our beloved Pro1s. It would be even better if we could get FxTec to provide empty keyboard prints

  8. It feels like those stickers should stay in place on the Pro1 keys providing that you clean the keyboard properly before putting them on. But you have a good point, the convex keys could prove more challenging and stickers could slide off more easily indeed.

  9. We could do that, what condition is yours in? mine is mint! I don't think we will get anything soon. But that is okay.

  10. Of course, the key tops could be manufactured with 'edges' to protect the labels, somewhat like this Maybe a path to go for a Pro2?

  11. Certainly an interesting idea. Though it will be much harder to provide good stickers for the smaller keys, simply due to the lesser surface area for the adhesive. And they need to be elastic too, or mounted with some heating to handle the convex curvature of the keys. On a standard keyboard with concave tops each time we press at the normal centre of the key, it would press the sticker firmer on. Not so on convex keys like the Pro1 where the stickers would have a natural tendency to loosen at the edges. I see that a few keys were without the need of stickers, so if they were provide

  12. Converted one of my keyboards to that new AZERTY layout, three to go. It is so much better for typing French and foreign European languages. Since I've been living in Germany for over 16 years I do love the fact the the ß is on the keyboard. What's also really cool is easy access to Greek letters. Makes it a lot easier when writing math and science papers. αβδΔΓ love it… Easy access to ellipsis characters is also awesome. 😁

  13. I have also bought that perk anyway. At first just to send some money, but I was also curious what those discussion and project updates mean. ...at some point they have completely removed that option and I still don't know if they wanted to share some additional information...

  14. Ah! That one. Sure - Forgot I actually took that too. If I buy yours, would you buy mine 🤣

  15. Thanks - the screen was fine. I had 20 of those, so I could test a few 😉 But an update: A fellow member sent me the instructions and files he received from F(X)Tec - and it worked fine! And the best thing is: It's really painless if you have a rooted OS. No debug firmware needed, no reflash, no wiping of data. Just one single APK, a firmware file and access via adb to change some permissions for the touchscreen driver files. So if anyone has the same issues: With a rooted OS, it takes 2 minutes to fix it 😄
