I've now had about 8 calls in the setup above. I've not enabled WiFi calls again yet.
Only one of those has had some "buzzing" - so it seems to made an overall improvement to call quality. In the call that was buzzing moving around a little improved the quality. (I suspect - signal strength may be related too)
Obvious downsides to this is you lose 4G - which is not really a problem for me for what I use mobile data for usually - plus currently I'm still housebound with WiFi. Also this is only my experience, obviously. I'd be very interested if others have tried this and get similar result
They seem to be more targeting the rugged phone crowd.
And it's still missing a slider even though it is a portrait form factor. Not a fan of losing screen estate just for the keyboard. Majority of phone apps are designed to work in portrait widescreen aspect.
Just to wake up an old thread (some call it "necroposting" 😛 )
Here's a little sidebar/launcher I found while browsing the store in Aurora store.
It's called "Ivy". It's free with no ads and they just ask for a donation. And what's more is the customisation options are almost endless. Takes a little getting used to but once you grasp it it works great in both portrait and landscape. 😁
When I connect my Pro1 I just get a mirrored screen. No additonal settings. The peripherals all work (connected to my screen) but no separate settings for a desktop-environment.
And my phone has been configured to complete darkness 😉
Thanks. Not to be sarcastic, but I do wonder what they mean by "support" when it has been almost nine months without bugfixes, and the security updates are over a year behind... But I guess I'm just impatient.
Both of these instruction sets could use some updates since 3.4
I think this one is a little more updated
