  1. This sounds like a much better idea. Hidding yourself in the head with a mallet to get rid of a headache is not recommended either, though you might be lucky that it works...

  3. Thanks tdb for your Factory Restore tool. I've used it to go back to stock as I'm trying to see if ...is a hardware or a software issue. I got it to work successfully, but did run into a small snag on my way there. After a successful flash with the "Q Flash Tool", I got dropped on this menu: ...and "start" would not work, not any of the "reboot to recovery" options -- I just got back here. I tried with both the 2020-07-07 as well as with the 2019-10-28 firmwares. I then tried your suggestion of using fastboot to set the b slot active (I confirmed with `fastboot getvar

  4. Anyway, there are USB power meters, it may be a good idea to connect the Pro1 through it to see if it is charging (or if there is any current flowing through the cable). This would be good to filter out battery / charge-related problems. As for charging, it should have some significant current but when it is charged, the current should drop significantly. If the software cannot be started, the charge indicator will not be driven, but charger circuit itself is working at a basic level. Maybe one discharge-related problem may happen when the loader is set to boot up the device on c

  5. I would first try to hold the power button for some 10 seconds as this is a deep (non-destructive) boot. If noting happend. Try to plug in a wired charger, leave it for say ten minutes and retry the same, to see if you get anything on the display and/or the notification LED

  6. @DieBruine wrong and wrong 🙂 1) microphone is not on top display part - microphone is 1cm right near usb connector (small hole). 2) here is nothing to bend for better mic contact. Mic is digital (4-5pin) and is soldered directly to flex/pcb. What can be bad...flex cable connector (i mean flex cable to usbc, speaker ect) can be littlebit disconnected on mainboard (I do not think so), or microphone can be fall down after phone fall to the ground , or can be damaged ( water, dust etc). Solution...solder new microphone...if it doesn't help will be needed to check aud

  8. My guess it it much matters if people 'know what they are doing'. If a device is opened and something accidentally destroyed in the process, I doubt they will cover it, but if opened and closed properly they seem to be quite generous on it not breaking warranty. After all It is designed to be service-friendly with the majority accessible after dismounting some screws only, without the need of a heat gun. So if in doubt contact a local service-professional and have them help you. Add: Also remember that the original Pro1 quite literally is irreplaceable, as they can not get the components

  9. Very happy to see that you got yourself a Pro1 HengYe, and even better, one in mint condition! Also glad to see that this time we don't lose anyone, since DieBruine will use a Pro1x and stay with us! (Now you have a good reason to restore your Discord-Matrix bridge.)
