  1. I had a similar problem - payed in EUR through Curve which has deducted in HUF, but received an invoice in GBP. These currencies have moved against each other in the last two years, especially HUF, but I sent them every related info and declared the amount deducted from my HUF account First they told me in their first reply that my declared value is not even close to the value declared in invoice and in shipping note but I have explained the two years difference, originally deducted amount and F(x)tec's location of UK (regarding their declared currency). So they have finally accept

  2. All the news we have are about f(x)tec (slowly) working through existing (pre-)orders that have in part been pending for several years. This should not prevent you from ordering a Pro1-X. As far as we know, f(x)tec finally always delivers. However, you should not count on getting you phone very soon. Also note that the Pro1 and Pro1-X do not "support" Linux in the way the PinePhone does. While some progress in mainlining the original Pro1 (the SD-835 variant) has been made, all existing GNU/Linux OSes for the Pro1/Pro1X that can at least remotely qualify as daily-drivers (SailfishOS, Ubun

  4. Hey there, I have not so much routine in rooting, flashing and restoring. I once did this a lot with a htc desire z and a Motorola droid 4(?), but since I bought my BlackBerry Priv back in 2017 I'm out of the game. I now want to root my pro1x in order to get rid of (all) google apps and use microG instead (if this is possible). I don't want to flash another ROM, just degoogle android. Am I at risk crashing my persist partition in this process as well? As far as I understand, that should not be the case. However, being able to create a backup would be nice anyway, but I sadly could no

  5. Which Key Attestation app do you mean? There is: https://github.com/vvb2060/KeyAttestation https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.github.vvb2060.keyattestation and so on.

  6. (I merged some posts in from a separate thread. I do not recall if 5G was part of the title - it might have been)

  7. I can't speak to Verizon, but I can speak to AT&T as well as Google Fi. AT&T doesn't work, locks your data connection, not on approved list. Google Fi does work, so by extension T mobile SHOULD work as well. Located on the west coast.

  8. 20% VAT + 2.5% Duty + £8 handling fee if you're unlucky, and you probably will be as it's well over the limit. Fxtec spent the money that would have covered our customs fees on the redesign - I'd rather pay on arrival than not getting a phone so while it's not great it's hard to complain.

  10. Still not a squeak from Fxtec by way of update - this seems, looking through my inbox, to be the longest gap they've left between updates since I 'joined' in January. Have to admit I'm pretty annoyed now. If I had ordered rather than being a backer, I would have cancelled my order. As it is, my old phone now has multiple faults so it looks as though I'm going to have to buy something - and then if/when I ever see my Fxtec. phone, either sell the 'emergency' phone or the Fxtec... probably taking a loss either way. Really unhappy! I guess there must be others in comparable

  11. Update: I just got a customs invoice from FedEx and the value of the phone is set to a larger amount than what I payed. Need to complain to FedEx about that.
