  1. Interesting. Maybe try installing the Google USB driver: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb and try again. I'd suggest only installing the .zip file, no need to go through the whole process via Android Studio. Reboot your Pro1-X to fastbootd by: adb reboot fastboot Then on your Windows PC, go to Windows Start Menu -> Device Manager -> your_device_name, if there is an exclamation mark next to your device, right click and select update driver. Choose the option where you can upload from your local disk rather than Windows searching for an update. Then, locate the

  2. Thanks very much! That's works! I updated my USB Driver via Windows Update Database, make a factory reset on the Pro1X and try to start the fastboot flashing three times... now it's locked! Crazy... maybe one of the problems was the complete data transfer between my old blackberry and the Pro1X, who knows 🤷‍♂ Now I can explore the Pro1X completely 😃🤓

  3. The latest update on IGG (two weeks ago) https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pro1-x-smartphone-functionality-choice-control#/updates/all suggests LineageOS development is stopped until October. It is essentially waiting to be rebased on the new stock-ROM that they hope to certify in September.

  4. ...and this is a Nokia N900 near a Pro1X. That has a key size of about 6x7mm and keys are neck to neck in every directions like a grid which makes it strange for first look. Also the number of keys was much smaller - still it was a very useful keyboard (and Maemo was a really good OS by that time).

  5. Despite calibrating in Google maps my GPS signal is terrible. Location is 77 minutes or off date despite being in a field with good phone signal. I keep getting "GPS signal lost". When using Android Auto. It is now placing me a few miles away on the wrong side of the Thames! High accuracy is enabled in settings. Any other tips or is this combined with poor phone signal a sign I have a dud phone?

  6. I've a few Bluetooth headphones and each of them go very choppy (audio cuts out, track keeps playing) when I move. I've tried it with the case but it means if walking (let alone running) with my headphones on I lose a lot of audio. These headphones were fine with previous devices. Anyone else having this or have tips? It's not any case as I've tried it with and without a case and have the same issues. In general my phone is poor for connection - wifi is okay but cellular calls take 20s to connect outgoing and most incoming go straight to voicemail now.

  7. Oh! This is wrong! What happens if you (as root): chmod 644 /sys/class/power_supply/battery/constant_charge_current_max echo 22000 > /sys/class/power_supply/battery/constant_charge_current_max But that may not be enough... If the % doesn't change in about 20 mins, try: chmod 644 /sys/class/power_supply/battery/constant_charge_current_max echo 40000 > /sys/class/power_supply/battery/constant_charge_current_max That should be enough for the phone to start charging significantly. Do execute this from time to time to confirm if it's being overridden by something el

  8. This is a user to user forum. Any new information will come through updates on IGG, which then gets posted here by one of the folks frequenting this forum. 🙂

  9. Assuming you are talking about the Pro¹X. It's not surprising, quite the opposite. Putting together the hardware and running Android on it is the easy part. Although the keyboard form factor makes it harder than most I guess. What's tricky is to get it all to work optimally and even huge international corporations sometimes fail at that so we would be very lucky to have best connectivity with the Pro¹X especially on day one.

  10. I'm rocking a stock android right now and I'm still looking for it in sysfs. When I figure it out I will update that in the sysfs thread:

  11. No. And when it is it will appear in the ROM link in this post, pinned to the top of the forum.

  12. Not highly precise measurement but a usual key of Pro1(X) is around 5x8mm as per my measurement. Top row is about 4mm in height. ...but I suggest you to try a similar keyboard in real life instead, as keys are much smaller than your thumb but still you can feel them accurately. Also, Nokia N900 had similar keys (a bit smaller size) which was still a good keyboard. So it is not easy to decide if it is too small prior of trying. Also, a bigger problem may be the phone (thus, keyboard) width [landscape] which may lead to some inconvenience if you have small hands (smaller than

  13. On my first days with the Pro1X I suddenly had a massive problem with GPX, too. (I suspect that was before GPS had properly initialised itself; perhaps no Assisted GPS data was loaded yet, but that's me stabbing around in the dark.) I'm using an app named Locus for hiking. When I switched it to satellites view, there were some two dozens of satellites in view but all showed up red even though I was outside and a lot should have been in sight. It took some time, but in the end the phone started to find the satellites. Until then, it had been using mobile/WiFi data to approximate the location wh

  14. All the news we have are about f(x)tec (slowly) working through existing (pre-)orders that have in part been pending for several years. This should not prevent you from ordering a Pro1-X. As far as we know, f(x)tec finally always delivers. However, you should not count on getting you phone very soon. Also note that the Pro1 and Pro1-X do not "support" Linux in the way the PinePhone does. While some progress in mainlining the original Pro1 (the SD-835 variant) has been made, all existing GNU/Linux OSes for the Pro1/Pro1X that can at least remotely qualify as daily-drivers (SailfishOS, Ubun

  15. I am new to the forum, I have been a b/hacker of PinePhone since their first shipments in 2019 and have been sailing many different OSes and have been almost to a Daily Driver quality (at least with Manjaro Phosh) status twice. I would like to get a more robust phone that supports Linux, which I see as this one - however I am seeing people in the forum and around the net that have been backers for years and have never received their phone/computer. On the main page it states that shipping would be in September (very soon) but is there any assurances that if I were to pre-order now it would b

  16. …To those that are blaming FxTec for the shipping delays, see e.g. Astroglide https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/astro-slide-5g-transformer/x/16576339#/updates/73 “There are still limitations on courier shipping from the warehouse in Hong Kong.”

  17. Definitely interested in this. Have you tried out the unit at all? Specifically, bad wifi/gps/cellular & crackling speakers.

  18. I wish, reset AGPS data and no joy - get "GPS Signal lost" on Android Auto every 20s and still no strong satellite signals when I use a GPS checker app
