  1. The Pro1 seems really problematic with regard to fastboot. I recently flashed my wife's Fairphone3 using my Thinkpad X250 without any problems. That same PC never succeeded with the Pro1 ... There seem to be multiple factors affecting flashing, especially in fastboot mode, and some are not controllable in a daily-driver PC. E.g. many USB-attached peripherals are not "removable" in a laptop. Hence my advice to just use a dedicated system for all Pro1 flashing. Using adb/fastboot from a Raspberry 2 or 3 just works(tm)! They're hardly more expensive than a separate USB hub and are usefu

  2. Hey 😄 We're quite behind on our customer support tickets at the moment as the person maintaining this was on leave for 2 weeks. We currently have a backlog of tickets from around Christmas last year, and will be working on them accordingly. Please note, we do not ghost any of the requests we receive. Apologies for this and thank you for your patience!

  3. Right, under Windows, drivers can cause a lot of troubles and "plug and play" driver installation may also cause issues. However, if I understood well, @Milky_Pimmshas tried it under Linux where driver-related problems do not apply.

  4. DO NOT USE #2985035568 devel-flashable-focal Re-flashed and works well so far used #2985035565 devel-flashable https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android11/fxtec-pro1x/fxtec-pro1x/-/jobs Reboot to bootloader, format userdata (if switching from Android) and flash recovery.img from the build artifacts, then reboot to fastbootd mode: sudo fastboot format:ext4 userdata sudo fastboot --set-active=a sudo fastboot flash recovery out/recovery.img sudo fastboot reboot fastboot Flash system.img and boot.img, then reboot: sudo fastboot flash system_a out/s

  5. I think if you unplug your keyboard and mouse, you will have a completely free USB2 line. You may plug them into another USB ports but then check it again if they really connected to another bus so that connector is not also connected to BUS 005. ...then you may try to connect your phone to the USB connector where your keyboard or mouse is currently connected. It worth a try.

  6. I'm sorry to see that your Pro1-X does not charge/boot up upon arrival. Could you let me know your support ticket ID? I will follow up with your enquiry over there.

  7. focal is a port to ubuntu 20.04 (which is named Focal) the regular build is based on 16.04 IIRC for me focal looked better but wifi was broken 😞 sometimes after the flashing I haven't seen the application and I fixed that by doing factory reset with UBPorts Recovery.

  8. Running the OTA updater right now. Had some issues starting the update because the updater kept crashing when I hit "Install". Fixed it by going to Settings -> Apps -> Show System Apps and deleting the Updater's app data.

  9. They can be slow to answer. I think there are two main factors involved. 1. Is just simply that they are very few people wearing very many hats, and probably they are getting flooded with requests. Their system doesn't have any way to distinguish "I'm having technical difficulty" from "Where's my IGG perk." Everything goes to the same inbox. What is it you have emailed them about? If it is anything like "where is my IGG perk," their only answer is the latest update. 2. They have a tendency to not reply until the have an answer yet. If I have not heard from them for a mont

  10. Sooo ... I finally got myself an additional SIM for my Pro1-X. And ... things seem to be bad ... Very bad ... So bad, that I now regret relativizing some of the devastating experiences others have posted here before ... Apologies, guys! I got my Pro1-X two months ago (from Expansys) and found its WiFi and GPS functions to be somewhat on par with the - albeit not great - capabilities of my Pro1. Based on that, I extrapolated that telephony could not be much worse, either. I think I've never been that wrong! After a few hours of testing, the Pro1-X's GSM/LTE modem seems to be a disast

  11. Received my Pro1x a few days ago as a brick (same as OP), contacted support and waiting for a reply for warranty replacement.
