  1. Wait. You don't find this subtle? :D

  2. I am looking for a few beta testers for an unofficial-UNOFFICIAL variant build of LineageOS 20 for the Pro1-X. While it is compatible with the official beta published on XDA, it includes additional keyboard features, some of which may not be present in the final official-OFFICIAL release of LineageOS. The additional features include: Support for Pro1-X models with QWERTZ, AZERTY, and Scandic keyboards The custom key map feature from the pro1 Reassign the right-hand yellow arrow key to AltGr, from "Settings -> System -> Languages & input -> Physical keyboard ->

  3. @steff and @EskeRahn: While I agree to all you write, maybe there is one thing that can be said in F(x)tec's defence: From their perspective, everything must have changed at the moment they were forced to "upgrade" all pending orders for the original Pro1 to Pro1X's: As at least some of those were ordered (and paid!) way before the start of the IGG campaign, they essentially had the choice to betray either these original Pro1 customers (by postponing them until after end of the IGG campaign) or the Pro1X campaign-backers (by continuing to serve regular website customers alike, breaking IGG rul

  4. Yes to everything. And yeah - total luck on the cutout.

  5. Looks good but not subtle enough for me 🙂 Still waiting for the first case you cited.

  6. There are already dedicated buttons for volume on the side of the phone, and there is a slider for screen brightness in the notification shade (swipe down twice). But to answer the generic question, the key remapping feature allows you to reassign any key on the keyboard to whatever Linux key event code you prefer. For example, you could reassign the Del key to generate KEY_MUTE using this custom keymap rule: 21:0071:0071 Remember that the third value in the keymap rules is ignored by the current driver, and it does not support keycode modifier flags either. Right now, the only way to c

  7. I've ordered one some time ago (still waiting for it, though, as accessories are said to be delivered only after all the device pre-orders have been fulfilled) – because Fxtec seems to be the only source for the battery. No-one so far could find that specific type of battery anywhere else. Maybe it's even a custom shape that's not used in any other device. And even if the spare battery might deteriorate a little bit while being stored, a slightly deteriorated battery is still better than no working battery 😉

  12. Here's another seizure for ya - it works! The TPU case that came with it is too skinny although the right height. Not a biggie - I can get those on the cheap. So I popped that off, ordered the right one on Amazon, and used some double-sided fabric tape and boom. Done. Lemme know if y'all want me to find it in black or some non-eyesore color.

  14. This is the link I posted on Telegram: https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3612-pro1x-really-poor-connectivity-to-both-wifi-and-cellular/?do=findComment&comment=65345 in my eyes at least, U pulled together several comments & came to a conclusion, that seems 2B worthy of consideration by those who have the ability to improve Pro1x 'stock' OS &/or firmware. Right now, my Pro1x is little better than a v.v. expensive toy or prototype: it is too unreliable at recieving calls; I can't trust it to work as a phone, which is what it is marketed as! And if F(X)tec don't put this

  18. It really depends on what you mean by "planned." My take on things is that F (X) Tec took business orders (probably early on, as @EskeRahn suggested) that would be shipped once the perks had been shipped. The perks (and website orders) were palleted (I'm assuming the pictures weren't fake)and sent from the factory to the Expansys logistics operation. All seemed good, so the retail orders were triggered. Then they were hit with the contract dispute. But while our units were stuck, the businesses were able to get the devices (they were no doubt direct shipped from the factory) as they were n

  19. It is sad, but I certainly understand you. I guess I'm among their most hard core fans, but yet I'm not 100% positive any more. ...Yet if they announce a Pro2, I'm almost sure I will be a backer on IGG again - though I certainly would consider an option for a (more expensive) alternative pre-order carefully.

  20. Perhaps key is "reportedly" or rather lack of report? I don't think I've even seen it acknowledged since this back on October:

  21. Thanks everyone for trying to shed some light on this severe issue. Unfortunately I cannot provide data until I find a way to report modem usage in (Gapps-free) LineageOS. Discover LTE does not work for me for the reasons discussed. Meanwhile, I have taken my Pro1X on a few trips across Germany. Its LTE/VoLTE reliability is catastrophic all around. Even with a theoretically good connection (> -100 dBm) there is usually no Internet service. I gave up testing GSM (i.e. non-VoLTE) calls as they have never worked for me, even with working LTE (data) connection. Side note: My (835)Pro1, whi
