  1. We currently haven't found any battery that fits perfectly by dimensions and most certainly you'd need to switch the circuit board (BMS, temperature sensor, etc.) from your FxTec to your old battery. So yes, the best option currently is to buy a new one from FxTec...

  2. The "T" in "T-Mobile" actually refers to the German company "Deutsche Telekom AG". The various T-Mobiles around the world were initially independent operators that have been purchased by Telekom and incorporated into their brand. Of course, inspite of the similar name, the radio frequencies in use are different for all of those networks, as they are governed by the different national authorities.

  4. That's great it is working for you there. My guess is your phone either hasn't found band 41 yet, or where you are doesn't have any LTE band 41 towers. Are there people reporting band 4 not working on Tmobile? Mine works okay on Band 4, both in Minnesota (multiple towers) and in SW Tennessee. It didn't work on band 41 in SW Tennessee and doesn't work on band 41 in Minnesota. I don't remember if it found a band 41 in Mississippi. I was using my Verizon 5G wifi hotspot most of the trip, so my Pro1X was using wifi more often than cellular.

  5. Well, I'm out in CO now and my pro1X works great as a phone here. It immediately grabbed Band 4. Calls are clear on both ends. Either Both home and here has really great T-Moble (which is possible-- an n=2 locations is not a lot of data) or there are Pro1xs that work and Pro1xs that don't work. Variability in manufacturing quality? Could that be why the beta testers never found this problem before release?

  6. The signals tab on the free version of LTE Discovery will show you what band you are on. Most of the time I am on Band 4, but lately have been switching sometimes to B2. Both are high frequency bands and work fine for LTE. This does not require root or paid version.

  7. I think the relevant information for this topic is the 'band', which is logged on each new connection under 'signal log' (top right, just left of the three-dot menu symbol). I'm not totally sure, but I think this should also be available in the free version. It definitely doesn't need root.

  8. Indeed. I Just (on the Pro1X), installed the Danish official identity app "MitID" (that really ought to be galled ShitID, as the app is extremely poor quality). It identified a Danish passport NFC-chip with no issues. That the app hung up later and required a reinstall is another matter... lousy app. The newest update of the poor app can no longer even start on Android 9 - It just hangs with no messages!! (Even after several attempted uninstall and reinstall). A fortnight ago it did sort of 'work' (though often crashing claiming rooted) on the Pro1. (The broken app was why I tried on the

  10. @eorg, thanks, yes indeed it is very tiresome that we have to search for at the least four character words, so no luck looking for NFC, SIM, GSM, LTE, ROM, LOS or similar abbreviations. Not to mention even shorter stuff like 4G. I would have preferred if the search system had somehow white-listed common very short words, likely to be used. (Actually to find the thread I searched for passport, that I knew was mentioned in the text....)
