but it was clear on start of preorder. don't get me wrong, I have my pain points too, but I knew them when I preordered. (curved screen) I just don't like the mix here of known issues and new issues which were not properly communicated

I'm confused now, your post is completely unrelated to the quote 😄 Besides of that, yes communication is not good as established before. 🙂 I'm also mad about the case being switched to a sleeve. They have their reasons for that and sleeve is still better as an unusable case BUT I was really pissed about hearing that as a sitenote from Erik here in the forum 2 month after last info. not being able to use 2 sim AND microSD was know from the beginning, so that's not a communication issue.

I have a hard time guessing the gender of names like kashif, hook, mcdinner, vazso, eskerahn, etc 🙂 besides from that, biggest group of users here, depending on the age poll, are 40+ so women and men may be more accurate.

afaik the order numbers do not represent the actual numbers of active preorders. (not verified by fxtec)

I don't think everyone is loosing trust, the few here in the forum throwing a tantrum is just a small subset of those who ordered. Most are just quietly waiting I guess. I'm still with fxtec and happy they provide us a phone soon, so keep going! BUT please as many here stated work on your communication.

Thats why I want a hard/semi hard case for the bottom/back part. With this curved screen sh** there is no real way to protect it, but at least the back could be saved and the fall could be somhow dampened by it. Now it will drop, the bottom case cracks and worst case kills the sliding mechanism.

secon that, thank you! You have (had?) a pro1 for a long time, do you think something hard protecting the back and a bit of the edges likte the e7 case may work ?

This is sad as a sleeve does not help to secure the phone when dropped while holding it. Phone won't drop while in my pocket and scratches on the back are not the thing I'm afraid of. Also this is again a communication fail, as the last information from June!! was that there would be pictures soon of the case. Now there is no protection at all, and If the phone manufaturer itself cannot create a case who will then ? This may be a problem of this shitty borderless designs which came up the last years. On my E7 I had a hardcover like this, which I would like to see again.

In defence for fxtec they did remove the free case/headphones offer from the preorder page between April and August.

Thanks Erik for the clarification! Nice to have a statusupdate on the case. As also mentioned in the headphones Thread, maybe you shopuld ask people if they need the headphones. I think most people do have better ones and only need the case. ( In my case I only need the case.
