Sorry, I'm on Lineage already so I cant help with the original build numbers anymore but I don't think there are region specific builds. If you struggle with rooting the current release, flash the first release via fastboot (deletes all data) and root it. After that you have 3-4 OTA updates to manage then you are at the current one. Have you tried to use the corresponding image Ilrilan extracted ?

if you flash the patched boot.img to both slots root should work. But in my understanding the magisk installer uses the inactive slot for the OTA magic it does, so maybe you could get problems when updating. I have never tried that, so not entirely sure

Unencrypt is not needed. If your patched boot img is not recognized check from which slot you are booting. check current slot with fastboot getvar current-slot if that does not work try with fastboot getvar all and search for the active slot. the patched image has to be flashed to the currently active slot and the unmodified to the inactive.

Unfortunately there is no way around. 😞 You could try to backup with adb backup after you enabled adb over usb. It may work for many apps but not all, because the apps can decide if their data gets backuped or not. I fear that's the only option you have without root. If you plan to re-lock your bootloader, beware that it will reset your device again.

Yes, I take a picture tomorrow night when I come back to the car. Have to remember to take my old phone with me 😄 The way I did it it holds tight, it did not fall off directly when holding it upside down and shaking a bit:)

@Rob. S. #511309 arrived. The slot is too wide now and the phone wiggles around, so I taped felt pad in the middle which holds the phone tight. The camera button gets pressed when i slide it in and I think the screen Protector may get damaged on the edge when used often.

I'm also looking for a Brodit holder, did yours arrive yet ? I do not know the holders so I have a questions about the specs. Pro1 specs say its thickness is 13.98mm but the 711042 holder has 2-10mm. Is it even relevant? Just from numbers #511309 fits width: 62-77 mm and thickness: 12-16 mm, so should be ok even with a normal TPU back cover.

You should ask F(x)tec to refund you and If they do not, aks your CC company. As of now there is no need to use CC protection over normal refund which they do.

It is planed to ship most of the phones out before CNY, they are NOT dead and phones still arive at customers. So it's going its way 🙂
