I think it's just a matter of time until some tech journalist gets interested in it... that would be sooo bad for that PR they care about so much. Another thing, didn't we get a newsletter in some mit-late August that we should pay now and be in the first batch? And why is the size of the first batch such a mystery?

Correct me when I'm wrong, but as far as I remember cancelling the unpaid pre-orders was part of their terms - I even asked Eric if that's true and he said that there is something about it, but there was no deadline to pay at that moment. So, despite the on-forum promises, they had the right to cancel the unpaid pre-order since... well, terms are terms.

Samsung also has one-hand mode, so I think there should be no problem in installing/activating it on the Pro1

I've seen maaaany big companies in my country to fall and their workers and customers got nothing, because after selling all the goods the company had the money didn't cover even half of the debts. My friend once bought a laptop in a real shop over the internet, paid for it with a bank transfer and after few weeks of waiting the seller has said, that he has lost the money somewhere on the street on his way from his bank to his house. The court said that the money loss was clearly unintended and the seller is not guilty. Meanwhile the shop bancrupted. He ended up with no money and no laptop -

Refund of delivery costs. A voucher for something in their shop. A discount on the device. Some other benefit like for example an additional longer USB cable. There's ton of ways to reward us the long waiting time. If I gave the money to my bank instead of paying them, I would get some % for this. You see what I mean here?

For example, that I will get a tracking number for my package with the phone by day X. They know how many people bought the device. They know how big are the production batches. That information is quite easy to calculate. Producers also have binding production dates.

I work as a customer service specialist in a big industrial company. If my estimations for product delivery fail by THAT much, the company has at least to pay for the delivery (not to talk about other results of our delay) from its own money - even if it's a few thousand €. I'm not talking about any other costs here, because here are no other real costs, but some benefit for the waiting time like a refund of the shipping costs or other additional value would be appreciated. So far we are treated like fanboys of some other big known phone manufacturer - "we'll give them overpriced cr*p, the

Any distributor gets such data from his provider... they didn't decide to use other distributor beside themselves, so they should count with such questions from customers. And the photos from production lines are also nothing special or exciting here, we have seen similar ones already and that gave us nothing but fake hope.

I disagree here. What we paid for is not for some reservation. We were told, that the payment will be required 2-3 weeks before SHIPPING. This means, that the device is ready and will be shipped in a few days after the payment, maybe some more when they're out of stock and I have to wait a few days more for the new batch to arrive. From what we know now, the device was not even certified when we paid. We were simply used instead of a bank as a creditor - they took the money from us for an unfinished product to be able to finish the project. I personally feel lied here. I didn't agree for this

This novel is getting so long, that I'm already out of popcorn. What Erik wrote is nothing but another "we want", "we estimate", "we plan". I've heard that somewhere already... but where...???

Whenever I tell someone about this phone every talk looks like "so what company is that?", "who knows this company, is it big?", "ok, and you gave them 650€ when?", " and when will you get the phone?", "and who repairs those phones if something breaks?", " looks like a scam to me"... Literally, EVRYONE with sober minds thinks that I'm crazy for giving that much money someone I don't know and yet say that it's ok that I don't have my phone yet after 2 months because they may have a delay.

If I order today, when will I approximately receive the device?
anonim001 replied to divstar's topic in General Discussion
In my eyes Erik is NOT a good source of information, he has done enough by misinforming us about the spare parts, serviceability and other keyboard layouts in the past. Even if he is a member of the crew, he has no idea of what is going on there. If he was supposed to take care of the forum, why does Eske have to do all the job with accepting replies and keeping the forum alive? It's just a rhetorical question... -
Well that's some good news, since it would mean they already have the devices in some distribution center outside of China. Maybe the phones are already good to go, but they had to wait for the FCC certification to start sending them? That would be great news.

That's a good one - phone made for communication by the people who don't care about communication -

Eske, no hard feelings to You here, I know You know how the forum system works and do a good job keeping the new answers "up" at the forum. I guess it's about other mods here. It's hard for me to believe that the "good" posts are always on the top of the forum homepage and those bad ones are at the bottom marked as no new posts there. -

I really doubt that the company was financed 100% by people working there until the first payments, I think they have some big investor behind and I guess anyone knowing how business works thinks the same. That means that those speeches about being better than Indiegogo where You can order, wait a year and get nothing is in my opinion not a good explanation. And to the mods: stop pushing the thread down so that nobody can see our scepticism, that's not gonna make the situation better, everybody knows about the bugs in the forum software... -
Wishlist - Don't need a high end phone
anonim001 replied to larrystotler's topic in General Discussion
1. There already exist a thread with "wishlist", I even think that there's more than one. 2. It's too late for wishes; if the device comes out, nobody is gonna change everything in the last phase just because 10% of potential users want that. And if You want to have it in another revision - see point 1. Gosh, the forum is really getting hard to read. Do we really need a new thread whenever someone wants to say "thank you for making a phone, I love you" or "it's stupid, I want the device to have this and that, otherwise I won't buy it"? Can't we merge those threads and make place for the new -
If I order today, when will I approximately receive the device?

The thing is, it's another quarter of the year of delay from first planned release date in July. And, as already mentioned many many times in another threads, the phone's spec isn't getting any younger. If I wanted a phone with outdated specs just to have a keyboard, I would have ordered a Photon Q or something like that. There's ton of things I could have bought for the 650€+ which I have paid in August - by the way, that's another broken promise, since they promised us that they won't take from us any money until 2-3 weeks before shipping. Very, very not cool. If I don't get the device, a tr -

Where did You guys get the info about "mid-October" ? From what I know pre-orders are planned to ship EARLY October, is there another official delay I don't know about or is this just some theory/rumor? -
I ordered in April, so what? I would "chill" if I didn't pay for it. In this case, I paid for the product AND for the "shipping estimated in mid-september". In every normal shop if the delivery delays, You get the information about it. Delaying it without informing us is just a clear dishonesty. We, as their customers who already paid, should be getting such informations first, not from someone (thank You, Sandro) who asked and got the answer in a private correspondence like it was some kind of mystery. That's why I'm still hoping that this is just a fake news spreaded by some FxTec worker who

...AGAIN. In July we were also waiting pointlessly. A few days ago everything was going smooth, the mid-September was doable, today it's early-October. In October it will be... what will it be? Will it even be? Sorry, but I'm a bit pissed >:( I paid for it a month ago, we were supposed to be the first ones who get it and now what? Seems like we will get it together with the rest of the world... this doesn't help the company to make a good first impression and gain users' trust.

Somehow I don't have a problem with ordering the screen, mainboard, loudspeaker, camera, battery or any other components to my Samsung, my wife's OnePlus, my sister's Sony or my mom's Xiaomi directly to my house within max 2-3 weeks. Isn't Samsung a major phone manufacturer? Or maybe Sony isn't one? During the whole development process we were many times told, that the device will be durable AND easy to repair - by "easy to repair" everyone understood that the parts are easy to get and the device is not glued together like "any other major manufacturer" 's phone. Being easy to repair was one
