  1. Ad. 1: the Wi-Fi tethering is a standard option in Android, I don't see why would it not work here Ad. 2: did You read the sticked post about the camera? There You will find a very detailed information.
  2. Do You mean that there won't be any possibility of repairing the phone beside the authorised service? If so, what's the point of advertising the phone as an easy to repair device? We're not talking about rocket science where You need extremely expensive and hard to operate tools, we're living in times where everyone skilled enough can repair the phone on their own. What if I find the prices in Your service to high and decide to take the risk and repair it by myself - will that mean that I have a nice brick bought for 650€? Besides, isn't it illegal in the EU? Honestly... The more answers we
  3. I guess You also heard about the BLIK scam on fb or fake bank/PayU login sites for phishing, usually used by scammers on OLX ;) if You think about it it's not really that hard to do something like this, there are even better and more sophisticated methods. We're talking here about X-ty thousands of people paying 650$/€/£ - that's literally hundreds of thousands of potential profit... there have been cases where more work has been done for less amount of potential profit. And yet here we are, telling ourselves that "it's probably some system error, not a big deal, nothing to worry about". I th
  4. 1. Should we understand, that the will not be able to replace the worn-out keys? 2. If not, maybe You could say the number (not the exact amount of course) how much buttons have to be ordered? I'm sure that just the buttons are not so expensive (how much can it cost, 5€? 10€?) and some users would LOVE to order 1 or 2 pieces just in case if their keyboard wears out. I'm considering myself ordering some spare parts as for example 2 spare batteries, 1 spare screen, 2 or 3 flex tapes, one full spare keyboard - just in case if FxTec disappears from the market after a few months (nobody would like
  5. I find the whole pre-order information system as a total disaster. I'm working as a sales support and customer service in industry sector, daily I'm registering orders for tens of thousands € and I'll be honest - it is not acceptable to show such level of misinformation in the real world business. Taking money and still saying, that the amount is still to be collected? Problems with payment in multiple banks in many different countries? In case of going to the court (not to say that I will - I won't as long as the device will arrive) I would lose, because FxTec could say, that the website sa
  6. Thanks for clarification. Still, the whole situation would look to me suspicious if I would find out about this device for example a week ago - it's not really encouraging with this whole misinformation here (see also the discussion about the Scandi keyboard in the topic about the price). Still, 650€ is already a lot and increasing this price BEFORE the first items are DELIVERED does not look good from my point of view - it would be fully understandable if the price increases after official premiere, but there was no such event yet.
  7. I have to admit, that all this looks very unprofessional and suspicious. The order page saying "to be charged at a future date" even though I have already paid? E-mails saying that You have to pay now or the price will go up - even though we had here, on the forum, an information from FxTec worker that there is nothing like that in plan? And this whole strategy - I get it, niche device, not many pieces comparing to other producers etc. But have you ever seen a company increasing a price of a device which nobody has even got yet? Are You serious FxTec??? I have already paid, but that whole situ
  8. I paid successfuly with a Revolut card. The transaction was marked as suspicious, but after unlocking it manually in the app everything went smooth. Getting an account is quick and easy, afterwards You can get a multicurrency Mastercard (you can get a virtual card immediately or a physical one after waiting a few days, or both), for me there was no place that would decline it in the internet. It's basically free, more info You can find in the Internet.
  9. Dio You check Blackberry Manager by cobalt232? I'm using it on S7 to run the BB keyboard, I see that I can also install the Password Keeper.
  10. I'll repeat my question: how much time do I have to pay? I'm getting my salary on 10. day of the month, so this causes some problems to me... The terms say that the order may be cancelled if the payment is not made in time, but I didn't find any specific date/time.
  11. To those who did not get some e-mails and use hotmail/windowslive/outlook: check Your "Deleted" folder - i don't know why, but most of the e-mails from Fxtec are being automatically moved there (but not all of them!).
  12. Well that's pitty... Phone designed for communication without being able to use WhatsApp - for me it disqualifies using it with Sailfish, I'll stay with Android.
  13. For me perfect would be Cracow, Poland - close do SK, CZ, AT, HU, very tourists-friendly and with lots attractions to see... Or, more optimal for those from southern Europe, Budapest, Hungary
  14. My first phone with a QWERTY-keyboard was Palm Treo 600 and I love it. Unfortunately bought it with some technical problems and one day I overpriced my technical abilities (I have to mention I was 14...) and decided to try to repair it which didn't go well. Second was HTC Wizard - it was fat but small, the processor had whapping 180MHz (wasn't too fast), but I rocked the keyboard really hard and if the flextape didn't die I would be using it much longer than those 2 years - it was my best keyboard phone. Then there was Toshiba G900 which had software issues and was losing letters while typing,
  15. Just checked in my other folders and it was in... Deleted! Damn Outlook, moved it on its own. So if someone else is using Outlook and did not get the e-mail, check the "Deleted" folder.
  16. I did not get any e-mail :/ last ones came to me without problems, I checked in spam and it is not there too... I feel omitted :( or are maybe it does not apply for preorders from Poland?
  17. As for me... Polish QWERTY, which is actually US International AFAIK (the one with Alt Gr function) - everyone in Poland uses it.
  18. Another question is availability of a replacement battery - will they be available on the market? If yes, for how long? I wish all the best to F(x)tec and am very enthusiastic about seeing the devices in retail and having it in my hands, but if the device doesn't gain a certain level of popularity, it may disappear from the market quite fast - together with any hope for after-market replacements. This concerns not only batteries but also other parts. I sure would not want to see this while having this phone, new battery is a hope to use it for more then just 2-3 years when the battery dies, no
  19. If it's smoother than Android and runs Android apps, why use Android? So far I'm in!
  20. Yes, advertising is something this product needs. Just check how many people are following F(x)tec's facebook profile - it's just passed 300 likes, each post is liked by 20-some people. That's not that much if we're talking worldwide. Facebook is a communication platform, a lot of people TYPE there their posts and a lot of people are using it to communicate with friends - places like that should be perfect for advertising a product made for TYPING, just add a good camera and "viola". I think what people may be afraid of is seeing another crowdfunded project like thousands of others that reac
