100% true. Most power users will turn it off right after first boot, but if the device wants to be a hit, it must get to the mass sooner or later, and many standard users would like to have that feature. If there's something they could borrow from BB, that would be it - on PRIV it worked great. Great to know, will try that one out as soon as my Pro1 gets back to me.

It's visible only on the black bezel on the top and bottom (when looking in portrait). The fingerprint scanner is also not well aligned. Rebooting does not help at all. Factory reset only for a short time. All updates installed. edit: strange thing just happened. Everything was fine (phone in portrait mode), phone was in stand-by lying on the desk and suddenly it has turned itself on in landscape mode. edit2: now it was just fipping back and forth for a couple of seconds, like some contact from the sensor was loose. edit3: pushed the housing harder in a couple of places and it's back to normal at the moment. The situation is dynamic with this issue...

Thanks everyone for the answers. The main problem I have now is that the phone is thinking the hwkb is open 99% of the time, no matter how many times I open and close 😞 the backlight stopped working too. In this state it's unusable for me. You guys (and girls) are much smarter than me, can You think of any solution for that? Can it be a software bug or rather hardware related problem?

i think that the hwkb open/close sensor is getting stuck, that's why it stays in landscape mode... anyone else having this issue? edit: that must be the case here - it explains why the on-screen keyboard stopped showing when the "leave on screen keyboard when whkb is active" is off. Any ideas how to force it backt to work? Restart does not help edit2: just repaired itself... I'm going crazy edit3: not working again 😠 should I raise a warranty complaint? It's pretty much unusable if it stays like that... If that's how it is, I'm sending it back.

That's exactly what I was searching for 🙂 thanks! Now the only things left are the on-screen keyboard thing and other keyboard-related problems. The LED is not so important (although I wish it worked more fluent or just on-off, no dimming) ...is what I wanted to say, but it got stuck in landscape mode again 😞 (the hwkb was closed); had to turn the "landscape mode lock" in the Slider settings off to get it back to portrait 😕 guess it has to stay this way for now, until some update comes out...

why does it interfere with the apps list? When I want to see my apps and swipe the screen, first it takes me to open apps, and then to the apps list - instead of a short swipe I have to swipe up to over 50% of the screen length.

Yes, I have QWERTY. The lack of sticky keys is really annoying... So I deat with the question mark (writing from the Pro1 - ???/// it works), but the on screen keyboard keeps popping up whenever I touch the text field. when I use the hwkb it is not starting new sentence with capital letters - is there a solution for that? I guess I have also lost any possibility of autocorrection or regional letters... key mapping tool would be great, but I can't root my phone because of my baking app 😞 the long-ish thing is this - it keeps pissng me off:

The fault was actually on FxTec side. If they gave the right delivery address or at least my phone number (I did give it to them while ordering) the device would be in my hands by now. Good thing I didn't take a day off...

Already called. It was my private address, and the flat number was missing. Support was surprised that the package came to Poland, because everywhere was selected "Great Britain" as destination country. The delivery is re-scheduled to tomorrow 😞 well, I'll just have to wait for another day... better than end of January, but still. "You had one job"

Billing 700€ for a device based on a 3 year old chipset is just craziness... I'm not expecting great success here and going to buy the spare parts ASAP (2 USB-C boards and one screen). To be honest now I probably would not pay even the 650€ - the device was half a year younger when the hype was high, which in mobile world is a lot.

I would not expect any comments from their side or any other exact answer, rather than further charades like contract terms etc. That's a cruel reality, but business partners will always be more important than a single order and there's nothing we can do about it. Yet, that does not change a fact that what they did is just pure meanness. At least they could forbid them to sell the devices until it gets general availability... Guys, how do You know the ETA? Mine shows that I should check for the ETA "later". It's already in Germany (delivery to PL), but still no ETA 😞 I estimate it should be at my door tomorrow. One more strange thing is, that UPS shows correct postal code, but wrong country - it's XX-XXX GB, shouldn't it be XX-XXX PL? Still, it may be just some system error, because it would be stupid to transit a parcel from GB to GB through DE if it was wrongly addressed...

UPS, by the delivery time I think it's "UPS standard" - takes 4 working days to get from UK to PL
