The only modifier that sticks is the left shift?   The other shift and ctrl keys don't stick?   What about the funky arrow one has to use with numbers instead of shift (by design for some reason), does that stick?

No sticky keys currently. 😥

I have experienced those as well... , when we designed the internal I made USB board separately from main board. It's on a mini PCB so replacing it would be cheap as you don't need to change CPU, memo

Hi Have 8 Nokia E7 all working. the usb ports were killing it. but then i found a solution, i bought magnetic usb adaptors and glue them to usb port. since then never had any issue with usb

(Just for comparison, this is how it looks with the default launcher) Edit: Added a few extra icons making the two blocks clearer

I hope that if some sort of sticky keys gets implemented, it will be optional.

Even if you can disable it, you can just ignore it, it won't affect you - unless you accidentally push a modifier key unexpectedly. or something..

Getting conflicting reports... mosen reported yesterday works, and I just asked again, he confirmed again.  Even the LED lights up after pressing shift until you press another key.

Sticky shift only works for letters and not things like !@#$%^&

I was under the impression even regular (simultaneous) shift isnt working for number symbols.

Capslock behaviour is different tho.  Under capslock, all letters are capitlozed until you turn it off, and it doesnt affect characters with a shift function, still have to shift to get them even under capslock.

A sticky modifer just acts like it stuck until the next SINGLE keypress, and affects everything, not just capitols.

I assume the reason sticky shift isnt working for number symbols on pro1 is cuz regular shift isnt working either, nothing related to sticky.

Always be sure to have those replacement pcbs around when you go on holidays. I don't know why, but they always brake when you are far away from home!

(good thing that you can build a temporary connection with some plastic and a cut open usb cable. But don't burn your hotel down with that...)

I used to use the stylus a lot on my n900 so it'll be weird to have similar form factor, no resistive screen stylus

This kind of stylus is quite good anyway (even though of being a capacitive stylus), however, it is not as handy as it has to be placed separately and not somewhere in the housing of the phone.

I also would love to be able to remap the Fx key like Shortcutd on the N900: short press to go back to the launcher, long press to goto the app list.

Yes! Oddly I have found NO way to get to the app list with keyboard only, as the bottom left 'arrow', in the launcher, hasn't got Tab stop. It is very close to being a bug and not a feature request IMHO...

Hmm, yeah that is a must really you need the app list from keyboard.

I guess that some third party app might do the trick by a desktop or key-shortcut, but ought to be available from the keyboard optimized launcher directly IMHO...

I guess you should be able to map a shortcut key to the launcher itself but telling it to go to the app list not sure :S

I'd imagine it was a culture shock! Isn't the N900 about ten years old?

I have 2 of them new in their boxes.

and 3 of them with the original battery and working flawlessly.

I upgraded 1 of the N900 with great speakers and the sound is soooo great.

Currently the launcher is hidden seen from the apps-drawer, but I guess your idea would be a very simple solution, alternatively they could add a widget we could use.

Could you try launching the activity "com.android.systemui.recent.action.TOGGLE_RECENTS"? You can use an Activity Launcher app like this one to do so: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.szalkowski.activitylauncher/

EDIT: It seems like Activity Launcher can no longer launch arbitrary activities... Investigating.

EDIT: Ok, try looking for any activity on the Pro1 that uses the word "Recent"... maybe you'll find it?
