  1. On the 11/05 : So I guess it won't be for this month then... I don't mind to wait month and month, just annoyed to read every month "it will be shipped by the end of this month"... If they told me I'll have to wait until December, I would be fine, I would have find a something for the wait... Now I am just with no phone and still think "ho, don't be silly, don't buy a phone now, you gonna received yours by the end of the month, you can wait a few more weeks". So I start thinking about cancelling my order.

  2. Feeling so sorry for the FxTec team that despite all their efforts and when it looked like they might pull it off that pandemic totally derailed their plans. Feeling sorry for the frustrated customers still waiting for their phones. Feeling lucky I got mine just before the factory was shutdown. Interestingly Pro1 runs on the same SoC as Oculus Quest so there is still hope they could source them long enough to fullfil their orders. My understanding is that Oculus Quest is also mostly unavailable now. FxTec is not the only tech company to fall victim of that pandemic.

  3. Not sure how sharing mails here is allowed, as they state "it is strictly forbidden to share any part of this message" (Which I just basically did, well). I've asked about the status of QWERTZ models, and their message was along the lines of: They have not forgotten about my order, they are fulfilling the order backlog, experiencing some minor delays, they hope to fulfill the backlog in the next few weeks. Same stuff, different day..

  5. I spent one and a half year on a Moto G6 when I gave up using my N900 before my Pro1 arrived in late December. Pro1 was still an idea when I have bought the G6 but I heard some info about it so I have eagerly waited for a proper replacement of my N900... G6 is currently a spare and tester phone for me.

  6. Having a backup phone is always a good idea. Get a basic, inexpensive Android phone that can get you through and then become a backup. I spent 7 months on a Moto G6 I picked up for $99 when my Nexus 6p died while waiting for my Pro 1. Just a thought...

  7. Hey all, I know it's been a while but .. well .. pandemic and all. I have been doing my "day job" remotely from home with 4 boys running around doing some sort of "school" for a couple hours of the day and being .. well .. being boys the rest of the day. So it's been a bit of a challenge to manage everything and still run side projects. But I think I've got most everything under control now and I'm going to try to drive this thing to the finish over the next couple of weeks. So, as a (re)starting point, I've synced up my Lineage tree and rebuilt from where I left off to make tes

  8. I've discovered a workaround of sorts. For whatever reason, pairing the devices (both my car audio and my headphones), allowing them to fail to connect, then turning off contact sharing in the "previously connected devices" list on the Pro1 makes them connect successfully most of the time. On the occasions when they don't connect, restarting the phone seems to sort it out. It's still not 100% reliable, but I can at least use them now.

  10. Hey all, it's been a while since I've been here so I wanted to pop in and give an update. I live in Seattle, which has been under stay-at-home orders for over two weeks and will continue until at least the end of this month. I have a wife and 4 boys at home, and we are all healthy. But it is difficult to get any work done between the constant interruptions. In addition, I have been given a new project at work that will take a week or two to complete. So I'm afraid that I won't have much of any time to work on the Pro1 until at least the middle of April, but more likely the star
