Also have QWERTZ with O2 in Germany. Reception is not as good as with a Nokia 6.1, but not all that bad for me.
Keyboard backlight is working fine for me -> maybe you have a defektive device?
For ?äöü, usw, you need to choose the correct qwertz layout in Settings (I think on stock "none" is correct).
I'm using the layout provided by FinQWERTY https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fi.onse.qwerty.finnish&hl=gsw&gl=US
I personally would suggest SwiftKey as Keyboard App. Works well for me and has word suggestions and seperate settings for the hardware keyboard.
Also I second @DieBruines suggestion of Fx Service, it has some useful fixes implemented.
Install Sion's app Fx Service | Slions or switch to a custom ROM to help with the first two questions. It's not like we will be able to re-write stock.
For Qwertz support, check the Qwertz topic, that's what it's for.
There were I think two or three people who complained about reception. Either you have a faulty device, or you have some bad luck. Some providers use bands that pose a problem on the Pro1. But again, this has only been reported two or three times to my recollection. There is no remedy for bad reception in this case. At least one user has sold his phone because of this.
Actually the experience on my Miix 630 isn't half bad. I use it for some light word docs with Libre Office, web surfing, spotify, email, and some simple gaming on Steam (Dugeons of Chaos). It's only got 4GB RAM so I have to be very careful how I push it. So yeah, it's no speed demon or heavy gaming machine but for light usage, it totally gets the job done.
So this universal band looks good and starts good, but over the past few weeks it has started to slip off every so often, and is a pain to but back on in place such that it doesn't slide right back off. I've ordered another Lima case, this one out of NLA nylon (and has the thin band upgrade), even if I have to keep a stockroom full of these cases, they are better than the slipping off rubber case!
Valid question. I'm actually typing this now on a Lenovo Miix 630 which runs a snapdragon 835. 🤔
Funny to think that the pro1 has more RAM than this thing too
Im Talking about running full blown Windows 10 Desktop enviroment on 950XL, not just Windows 10 Mobile 🙂
My 950XL can currently dual-boot windows 10 mobile and windows 10 ARM.
But i see you are mainly talking about windows 10 mobile, which, unfortunatly, is quite dead as a mobile OS 😕
