  1. Alright, after toying with it for a few days I have cracked dual booting and decided to write up the steps myself. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DATA DOING THIS. Credit to @order#10248 for proving the concept. First thing you will want to do is re-flash stock android on your phone. There isn't an official repo for this yet but @Waxberry has kindly provided one on this post. Download and extract the files from there and run the script fastboot_all.bat or you can download my modified linux version flash_all.sh. While that is flashing, download the latest version of Lineage here. Yo

  2. Congratulations Zahkc for getting it done and a very big Thank You for writing this up! Excellent work, I was about to share the notes I have made while dressing up my Pro1 to get famous, but that were already some meters to scroll (thats how it felt 😉 ) ... and you nailed it down. My way to get to dual booting was slightly different in details. But all in all the same. Still I want to paste some additional notes here. ****************************************************************************************************************** Basic things I learned, that might enlight the gu

  3. I figured it out and wrote up detailed instructions for anyone else looking to do this.

  4. This is an assumption but I presume you need to side load the updates each time to the correct slot instead of using auto updates. (Also assume auto update needs to be turned off)

  7. There's no "ready to buy" case for this phone but over time @EskeRahntested a lot of case from other phone. I used the Huawei flip case nearly 6 months. Some other members designed a case to 3d print, I really enjoy it since I got it. As for the screen protector you can buy a elephone U screen protector as it is the same screen

  8. To be fair, that's Android 11 that messed that up. Lineage just seems to be using the same setup rather than modifying it. At least you can still get the full reset menu (system, Recovery, Bootloader).

  9. So I finally set up my Pro1 to use as my main phone last weekend. Previously it had mostly sat locked away in between experimentations with LineageOS 16.0, then my own builds of 17.1 with MicroG (not to mention trying to make my own silicone phone case, that did not go well), but now I just use the 18.1 MicroG builds. My Droid 4 has now been retired, as has the Moto Z Play that I bought for use with the keyboard mod that never was (migrating 2 phones worth of apps/data was a big effort I don't want to go through again). It's almost a weird feeling having a modern phone that doesn't have a 5

  10. This actually explains why sliding your finger on the bottom it might trigger the problem. Now I'm curious if everyone is having the problem at the same exact location, which could indicate a recurring problem caused by a particular flaw in the design.

  11. Looking at your picture, I notice that the lower right corner is actually sharp: that wall socket seems to be quite nicely in focus. The rest of the picture obviously isn't -- even though there are many objects at roughly the same distance from the lens than the wall socket. Also the upper half of the shelf exhibits some very strange ("wavy") perspective distortion. This looks like an optical problem. Like a misalignment between lens and sensor or so. Sadly, I do not think this can be corrected for in software. @Jacob_S posted similarly distorted pictures earlier in this thread. Mayb

  12. If it is possible for you, I would try to temporarily install stock OS and test the camera there. That would give a real answer if it is a hardware failure or not. It was not clear for me if camera quality is generally good under LineageOS or not and if it isn't, GCam port helps or not...

  13. Hoping to balance the negativity in this thread, my F(x)tec Pro1 running LineageOS does not seem to have any camera issues regarding focus (see the attached sample I took today). Running LineageOS 18.1 (unofficial; 20210105), using a Google Camera version (though I forgot exactly which one).

  14. Here is a screenshot. According to Reddit discussion the screenshot option does appear for some phones (not sure why some phones and not others), but aside from screenshots in 14.1 I remember being able to toggle DND, aeroplane mode, ring/vibrate.
